Home is a nice addition but I like the simplicity of menus. Home looks impressive and nice that it's free, but I really wouldn't use it. Normal menus is fine enough and the gaming experience is what counts ;)
Home is just a habbo hotel/ second life clone. Xbox live is an online service...You can't compare the two.

and i can understand how home can be cool the first few times u see it but what if i just wanna check my messages or play an arcade game without the hassle of going to my apartment walking to the arcade machine, i think after about 5-10 times it would become more of a hassle than enjoyment
As someone already posted, they are two different things and should not be compared, XBL is a service to connect their games together and download stuff amongst other things. HOME is an actual game in ways and a social service where people go to talk, and share videos and what-not. MS and Sony have taken two seperate paths to online, each is different from the other.

But I really agree with you. HOME is innovate and great, but overall, LIVE is just a better service, but since PSN is free, they aren't comparable. Sony doesn't have the funds (without losing money) to give customers a quality service. The PSN Free thing is great, but LIVE is a better, more unifed gaming experience.

Or a Sim's 2 type thign where my achievments are 3d, i can walk and talk with other people, watch HD movies in a theatre, share music, make my own apartment and join online games with people? I was reading the comments ofr that ivdeo and one guy said, " I would rather just start playing my game like xbox liv,e instead of having to walk into a gimmicky portal thing". WHAT THE HELL!?
Home looks like it would be good for people that are anti-social or maybe don't leave their own home for psychological or physical impairment reasons
For that reason I am all for Home, as being part of playing video games my question would have to be - why would people want to hang in a virtual world instead of playing a game with voice with friends known from offline and on?

The way I see it, Home is bringing a 3d interface and the ability to share media with people.
The rest is pretty much what Xbox Live already offers, except it still doesn't have all the feature Live has.
