Ps3 In game XMB around the corner

Don't know how credible this is, but it states the in game XMB is ready to release. This includes, in game chat, cross game chat, and in game music. All games released from now on will support it. And all older games will receive a patch to support it. Also says Home is about done as well.

They problely mean it'll be a Japanese release soon, and a N.A release in the fall, then a U.K release in December or in 09.

I don't think PSN will remain free. PSN will remain free, it's as simple as that. Home will charge you for garbage like new furniture in your apartment, and unessesary what not. But the service itself is free.

I don't think PSN will remain free. PSN will remain free, it's as simple as that. Home will charge you for garbage like new furniture in your apartment, and unessesary what not. But the service itself is free.

So it took them more than a year to finally be on the same level as XBL. Unless you count the whole year 360 was out before PS3 than it would have had 2 1/2 years to catch up.

So atleast you agree it's on the same level now. Now why should you have to pay for XBL when PSN is free.

MS doesn't have to charge for XBL, they only do to recouperate losses. Sony doesn't have to do that, they actually make money off of their systems

what I don't understand is why you guys still believe anything anyone says? I don't have a link, but I do remember sony saying that they would charge for an online service if it was viable. will they charge? who the hell knows for sure, but there is always a chance that they will do whatever helps keep their stock holders happy.

No I don't agree. Xbox Dashboard and XMB ARE NOT ON THE SAME LEVEL NOW! They might be in the future but not now. PSN is trying to play catch up.

Home will stay free. Sony said that they will charge companies to advertizing products on Home to keep it free for users, Just like all these other free website, advertizing keeps them free for users. Microsoft has advertizing and they still make you pay, what kind of shoot is that?
