I agree with you, this is kind of a pointless topic tbh as everyone knew it would be this price from quite a while ago... I personally do think its quite high, but it doesn't mean it wont sell out at launch though.

Yep, but my 280 pound Premium 360 is a freezing heap of scrap. I would rather pay more for something that was worth it.
The PS3 demo stands froze more than any 360 Ive ever seen. But thats not a fair comparison, as those things are only there to convince you to buy a PS3. So why should they function properly.
It is a shame my fellow country folk will go out and buy PS3s in droves (at launch anyway) despite the fact that the price is absolutely insane and we have had to wait an extra 4 months or so.
Good luck finding a PS3 for 425 pounds. Why do people think the 360 cost the same at launch. I dont know of many places that would still sell a 360 at launch price here without a full game or bundle at launch. I have even seen 220-250 pounds. Now that makes a 500+ ps3 bundles look very expensive.

you know whats Sick... I brought my brother a 20gb PS3 to the UK for Christmas from Japan. It cost me 230 pounds At the then conversion rate. The difference between that and the uk price is obscene. Sony is lying to you about the reasons for the price in the UK. nothing can explain such a huge markup other than the fact that they think UK consumers can be taken for granted.
