The PS3, in my opinion...is a superbly crafted console, but the decisions of what they put inside of it are questionable. i think bluray will win, so that isnt TOO bad of an add-on, but the cell has seriously hampered development for the console. NO AAA games on gamerankings agrees. Its a cool looking console with SWEET buttons and runs quiet, but the architecture has led to horrible games, and i think it is too late to catch up. I dont think question the console itself, but the architecture of the console, which has led to less than stellar games. Also, the online PALES in comparison to XBL...its the sad and simple truth. Paying 50 bucks per year for a service on par with XBL is needed.

So, you're never going to buy one then...

Two points:

1) When I bought it nearly a year ago I was told then "just wait for the 2007 games they will own", now I am being told "just wait for the 2008 games they will own". Is it unreasonable to ask Sony to deliver?

2) As for the Blu-Ray, I will make the same point I did when people thought me odd for owning a launch PS2 and having a stand alone DVD player. Right now a PS3 is 400 bucks or so while a Blu-Ray player is in the range of 450 - 1200, in a year or two when Johnnie Gamer burns out his PS3 laser because he has used it for gaming and movies the Blu-Ray players will be 99.99 while a PS3 will be around 300 or 250? If PS2 is any example there were some in my group of friends that killed the laser in a year and replacing the PS2 was still 429.99CDN while DVD players at that point where 149.99 - 199.99. Moral of the story, DON'T USE CONSOLES for movies.

Learn some real logic, good is not defined by system wars logic. Not everyone buys all 3 systems, and not everyone has the same taste. If you don't think the PS3 has any games you want, then good for you, don't buy one. But stop trying to use your "opinion" as a fact.

i wouldnt buy ps3 simply because of it's split system memory architecture vs 360's unified, 256+256=crap.

Not to mention it's gpu is really outdated.

It wouldn't be so bad with all the just waiting crap IF it was cheap. Since I wouldn't mind dropping £200 on it, if it was that cheap and I could get the games later.

But since it's horribly expensive AND the good games on it I can play on a cheaper console, at a better rate with more better games. Would why I buy it?

sony screwed over ps3 fans more than microsoft screwing over 360.

My xbox360 doesnt have hdmi like newer 360's, but atleast it can still do all the same crap as the hdmi version.

difference between vga/hdmi is very little, not worth the upgrade dont care.

PS3 is an awsome console. The thing is people want instant gradification. I mean lets look logically here. PS2 owned Xbox for the last console war. I mean so far the 360 has nothing the PC doesn't have. So why have an xbox? Gears is great. Halo 3 gets old. And everything else is on the other consoles. Yes the PS3 is a great system. It has everything I want in one all in one box plus THE mega line-up in 08, sorry 360 fans but it starts with MGS4 and the ball just keeps on rollin from there. It's a great game IYO, not everyone else's. So you're basically saying stop having an opinion? Ok. While there are still faults with the PS3, which there are, you can't come out and demand people stop criticizing it. Puhleez grow up.
