How is that possible?! The sales are terrible... and its 2007 it has NO good games yet!!!! All of the PORTS are bug infested! Bluray isn't selling as good as HD-DVD. Who cares about Japan's sales?

The system #2 in Japan for the last 2 gens have been #3 in the world. History seems to be repeating itself.

I dont think sony would close there gaming doors.Even though im not a big ps3 fan i really liked the ps1 and ps2 and id like to see em stick around.Theyve made some obvious mistakes but the same can be said for nintendo and microsoft.There all gonna have there highs and lows but its best if they all three stick around to keep things competative and to keep them on there toes.Nintendo has made a huge comeback this year and lets face it sonys not a light weight in the gaming industry.I dont own a ps3 right now because there just a little bit too expensive and there arent very many good games available,but that doesnt mean its always gonna be that way.I like my 360 better than the other consoles at the moment and i also have a wii that can be lots of fun but thats not to say ill never own a ps3.When they get the price down and get some games out ill probably own a ps3 as well.I dont have any brand loyalty and it would be great if we could all discuss games instead of fighting over who has the better console.

I love them both, but the PS3 is a far better DVD player than the 360 could ever be IMO. I would take the 360 controller over the PS3 any day. Im pumped about some games coming soon.

Why would you want the PS3 to flop anyways? Less competition means less innovation. Lets look at EA and no other competition with NFL games... That would suck if there was less competition for systems.

I think its common knownledge that PS3 is a flop, it has been no where near as successful as matching the expectations it had.sSubZerOo

Sounds very fair and balance. My friend has a PS3 and it is a great system, the games will come in time. I also agree about the controller, the 360 is way better IMO.

I think everything has worked out perfectly. 360 took the lead getting out earlier and is the console to own for now if you can only get one. In another year or so, owning a PS3 will be far more worth it than it is now. Blue ray is gaining traction, I can't believe that some Xbox fanboy would suggest it's trailing HD-DVD but I guess people will say anything. Ironically the extreme cost of blue ray will probably keep PS3 in third place for a while but down the stretch it will be a real advantage.

I'm expecting Microsoft is very happy with where they are. They probably through a party when they found GTA4 is delayed as that leaves Halo 3 the only real big Media grabber... GTA4 would have certainly stolen some of that thunder and perhaps many PS2 owners would have jumped to PS3 at that point.

Sony's taken it in the teeth for sure but I think by Christmas 2008 it will be doing better.
