PS3 is getting better and better while 360 and Wii are not...

Over the past year Sony fans have seen there console go from the most expensive with one of the worst game libraries to pick from to easily worth every cent with an ever increasingly great game library. Only fanboys can deny that sonys game line up was not the best the holiday 2008 season... Sony had Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, and all the same great multiplates that the 360 (This point is fact by System Wars Standards because the Ps3 had the most Holiday AAAE)... Microsoft had the second best with Gears of War 2 and several other good games, but Nintendo released nothing worth a second look for the hardcore gamer crowd.

I agree with you if it wasn't for the price the PS 3 would have already skyrocket passed that rrod mess long time ago.

MGS 4, Little Big Planet, Resistance 1 and 2, Uncharted, Motorstorm 1 and 2, Valkyre Chronicles and so on are truly remarkable games and all the multiplatform.

with a price cut on the horizon and Killzone 2, God of War 3, Twisted Metal, Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5, White Knights Chronicles, MAG, and so many other games coming it looks good for sony they will continue outselling m$ like they were doing before m$ made their machine $199.

nintendo is not done ,, they have the rest of 09 , so does ms and sony, but right now we already see alot of promising 09 titles, for the wii, not that the other 2 are bad, i already have lots of planned purchases over the rest of the year, motorstorm etc, i wait , this is why i never say oh wheres the games because when you have every big hit, in one shot, they ge finished, then you r bored have nothing new to paly, , then you have to wait, but what im doing is leaving game options open, buy the amoun of games i want,

get the rest later and who knows i can get them cheaper then what others are paying,

and the best example is stuntman i got it for 10 dollars, a game that i was interisted in at launch i held off, and got it then

resistance is my next target lol and when i do get that, watch out , cause then ill get 2

but 09 looking good, and lets just see whos gonna pull out more cards next gen and the current year,

we were promised a game from each series of nintendo franchises, and punchout which was absent for how long, finally shows its face, i never played the original may be i should, but i liked wii sports boxing, so

PS3 got back on its feet while the 360 and Wii were both running. I'm no longer waiting for this "inevitable" PS3 Dominance. I'll take the console for what it is. A good system that could have been so much better.InfinityMugen

Which is exactly what it is. And even though it hasn't lived up to its potential, it could be worse.

PS3 possibly has 4-5 big exclusives coming this year, and then on top of that all of the multiplates. I just don't see where the ps3 has no games or no good games coming. I mean heck, yall keep yelling the 360's libarary but that is its strength, old games, games that came out prior to the ps3 coming out. Looking ahead the 360 doesn't have anything but the same ole same ole multiplates or a Halo franchise trying to save the 360 in its game department. All the while the ps3 is there and coming in to its ow nwith a great lineup for here and until the end of the year and into 2010. And this great variety yall talk about lol, don't know about yall but for $60 a pop, I'll stick to my big title, big games for my hard earned money, been bit to many times by this so called variety people talk about in the games department with low quality, might aswell put this one in the back of the dresser kind of games.

But please I'm tired of hearing about the 360's great libarary, next time please post that libarary with out useing Halo, or Gears or better yet games that came out 3 years ago, cause I haven't played it by now I'm prolly not going to with all of the great games coming in the future, and the future is Feb. 27th :)

I used to do that when I had the N64 and my friends had a PS1. I would argue and list all the great games for my 64 even saying Mega Man Legends was great. But the truth was, I was covering up how I really felt, I was very jealous that my friends had FFVII, Metal Gear Solid, FFVIII, Chrono Cross, the Street Fighter games, etc. But I wouldn't let go of my Nintendo pride for anything and insisted N64 was the best system!

Of course it wasn't. I was just to proud to admit it...and being broke to afford a PS1 just fueled my rage even more!

Anyway, back to the TC. Yes, the PS3 is getting better, but then so is the 360. And keep in mind Sony fanboys have been saying last year that 2008 was the year of the PS3 because MGS4, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm 2, and Resistance 2. But look what happened there? Nothing really, same ol' same ol'.

What makes you think 2009 would be any different? Do you think people would really trade over Call of Duty Modern Warfare or Halo 3 just to play Killzone 2 online? Don't get me wrong, Killzone 2 looks cool, but I don't think it will take over the FPS market especially with Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon. Also, if Metal Gear Solid 4 didn't budge the PS3, than what makes you think Killzone 2 would?

And it's only Japan that's getting FFXIII this year. FFXIII will come out in 2010 than maybe Sony fanboys can brag about that....oh wait, FFXIII is on the 360 too, isn't it!:P

Honestly, I like the PS3 and want it too. But everyone's been saying "it's the year of the PS3" every year, and so far, it hasn't been. I don't see it changing. It will continue to be Wii > 360 > PS3 in this console war. But the PS3 will have great games this year, but the 360 will also be great too. The Wii is a mystery obviously...they need a new Zelda and Mario game pronto!

Wow.. just wow. The 360 has just revitalized its online component with NXE just recently.. They've added Netflix to their already massive HD movie catalog.. They now have an ever increasing lineup of indy made games available for download. You now can install entire games on your HDD (By CHOICE) for quicker loading. And that's just XBL.

On the game front you have NG2, Fable 2, Gears 2, Viva 2, Tales of Vesperia, Banjo.. There's a great selection of software available for purchase on the 360 that you're choosing to ignore. Sure the PS3 looks to have a better lineup this year(on paper), but the 360 will still have a great year especially if you count muliplats..

The Wii is a mystery obviously...they need a new Zelda and Mario game pronto!

not everything has to do with sales if it was the case then every year is the year of the wii

ive seen more then 10 good looking games

and still it cant keep up with the others...

just get the god-king PS2

360 is gettting better and better, gets vastly bigger worlds, better looking games, more games, new RPGs are announced all the time, has a vast 2009 game library already, some of the longest and most fun 2008 and 2009 games, with some of the biggest, most detailed and next gen worlds etc

All that for 199$, with still the best version of multiplatforms for most games, extra content for huge games like Fallout 3, GTA4 etc etc

Also has widen the gap to 8 million from PS3 and has double the sales that PS3 this holiday

PS3 is doing worst and worst actually, 360 is the one doing better and better from what i see

360 gets FF13 too, let's not forget

Not really... its true PS3 is getting better and 2009 seems like it will be another great year for the console.. but judging on upcoming titles/exclusives 360 & Wii look like they'll enjoy also a good 2009..

Personally i think gamers will be happy with all systems since all have much to offer throughout 2009..

What the TC is missing:

1. The reason PS3 is "improving" is because the first year was atrocious! Expensive price, no AAA class games, little if any bright exclusives that can carry the consoles. Nearly all multi-plats look better on the X360 etc. I mean, after such a performance, PS3 can go nowhere but up. Sure it's improving, but do cows really believe this? If they do, then god help them caues I will feel really sorry for them.

2. The reason the X360 and Wii isn't improving is because both started out with a bang when PS3 was launched. X360, GoTY that year with GeoW, Wii, let's not talk about that, good sales, good games including Zelda, Monkey Ball, Wario Ware, Medal of Honor, Godfather and who could forget SMGoTy? Sure, Wii slowed down a bit last Christmas, but it still got some pretty good games in WarioLand: Shake it, De Blob, Animal Crossing etc. X360 has a slew of titles including GeoW2, CoD, L4D etc. Sure it's not "improvement", but it sure keep both console moving along!

And that's why PS3 "improvments" "Fails"! Ps3 can improve for all it matters, but right now, I doubt anyone will care! This race has already been decided. If Sony drops price tommorow, I bet you it will sell great for a few months, then nothing. Why? These "improvements" came now at a time when X360 and Wii already has an established libaray of great exclusive. Unless you are very interested in Sony's offering, I can't see why anyone would buy a PS3. X360 got the hardcore market locked down, Wii got the casuals. Ps3, the scraps.
