Stop hating the PS3. PS3 can still play PS2 and PS1 games only with the 80g and 60g models with more PS3 games on the way. Cannot wait for Tekken 6, Final Fantasy, and Metal Gear Solid 4.
Yeah you do know the sad thing is the xbox 360 a system that has been out twice as long is not even competting with the wii and the playstation 3 will be a much longer lasting system. Think about it xbox 360 cost microsoft a huge amount especially since so easy to break the three ring virus.

The PS2 is being phased out and being replaced by the PS3. It's just that Sony is not forceing it's supporters to have to run out and buy the next game system like other companies like to do.
Boy thats just a shame.....PS2 still beating the crap out of Xbox & Gamecube.

Wrong. During PS3's first year ppl were saying it was a failure and glorified DVD player and that Microsoft's more powerful XBox will come and wipe it out. Maybe you were too young then to remember.
It wasn't rosey for PS2, it got it bad just like PS3.

I picked up a PS3 yesterday, before that I had never planned on getting one because I had my Xbox 360 and Nintendo wii but i can honestly say the PS3 is amazing, Uncharted is one of the best games I have played in YEARS. Everyone skipping out on this system is really missing out on some great games. I had a PS2 for about 2 months before i sold it back, i just prefered my 360 and wii. But now that I have a PS3, man its great.

Wow that is nothing but short sided thinking. Ya the ps3 is dead you know cause sony is just a tiny company. You know they don't make tvs,electronics, computers/laptops, etc.. Oh ya one other thing they own movie studios too for christ sake lolz sony isn't going anywhere nor is their console.

That is why many people are buying the PS2, there are so many families on a very tight budget and have more important things to think about. At least Sony is giveing them an option by keeping the PS2 alive.

True options are thin in this department it's pretty much Gamecube, GBA and PS2. Unless they still sell xbox's?
