PS3 making a serious turn around?

So in the past couple days we have seen a sneak peek at a killer list of PS3 games.  Sony's "mini-E3" was exactly what they needed for their overpriced "door-stop" at the moment.  I'm officially sold on getting a PS3 this year...

Some notable games releasing this year for all you guys on the fence:

-Ninja Gaiden Sigma

-Heavenly Sword

-Lair

-Warhawk

-UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE 

-Socom: Confrontation (Online only FINALLY.  Single-player was always so crappy and boring for Socom)

-Ratchet & Clank

The only thing the PS3 needs right now is a $449 price tag....Oh man would that be sweet. 

Riiiight. We'll see how many of those games get AAA when they come out. Until then it's all speculation.MCGSMB

I dont care what some fat nerd sitting in an office building thinks of a game, neither should you.  All these games look great to me and I couldln't care less what their reviewed as.

I can not even imagine the living nightmare Microsoft and Nintendo fans are going to live when the ps3 gets better games than theirs and overtake them in sales ...Psycho-Mantis-

Let us know when that day comes. By the time that happens, the "XBox 720" and "Wii Wii" will already be out and have over 5 million is sales. No one will even care as a new next-gen war will be going on. M$ & Nintendo aren't going to wait around for the PS3 to finally get to $300 or less so they can finally catch up and sell more systems.

Fours years of the time of the release of the console. For correction purposes. Example: The Wii. When HD starts to really kick off in homes, where does that leave the Wii?

Yeah because unless all these games get 9.0 or above they're pathetic crap flops..... I wouldn't doubt most will get AA but that doesn't make them not extremely good games. GS scores too much based on mass appeal and multiplayer modes and most of these PS3 exclusives target a certain audience. Generally AA games targeting a specific audience are better for those people than a AAA generic shooter that fills the features checklist required by GS.

it is not a door stop it is a paper weight get it correct sheesh. JK. but anyway 360 and PS3 and DS are not to be skipped this gen. 

just because uncharted has good graphics doesnt mean it will be a great game :|

i would put this in Sig for MASSIVE OVERDRIVE OWNAGE of the decade but would have to be in sig for a long time before you give in

one day it will catch up with 360 but the Wii will be uncatchable in a year or twos time

Just because MP3 had a potentialy great control scheme with the waggle with poop for graphics, doesn't mean it will be a great game.

graphics are alright not mind blowing but not "poop" you know the wii cant dish out graphics like the ps3/360 but can still deliver great games graphics arnt the be all end all.

You just got to love all of these individuals who only buy/play games based on the reviews they get from the "experts" rather than going by his/her own judgement. It must be horrible being such a follower that you are beyond being able to make your own decisions or trust your own opinion out of fear of ridicule for not staying inside the box, and following the popular opinion or accepted standard, lol.....Or it could just be biased fanboyism, which seems to be pretty popular on this forum.:P Especially when it comes to bashing every little bit of positive news that the PS3 gets.

Ok, but compare that list to SSB:B, Mario Galaxy and Metroid or Halo 3, Mass Effect, and Bioshock.

The PS3 needs system sellers, and that list isn't going to hook casuals like the lineups for 360 or Wii this fall.

It's a possibility that the PS3 could come in 2nd... but I highly doubt it comes in 3rd this gen. Hell, most analysts are still picking them to come in first this gen with the only negative being a much smaller piece of the pie. Unfortunately for MS & Ninty... they don't really have a say in it, the consumers do. And consumers still like Sony and their games. What consumers don't like is the price of the console. With the rapidly decreasing costs, it should be possible for the console's price to come down as much as $200 by the end of next year... and with all the games that the public is about to start seeing, that will keep Sony in the game long enough to really catch back up. Fanboys just like to ignore than no one is predicting the PS3 to overtake the 360 until the end of 2008 in the first place. The Wii will lose steam in another two yrs no matter how cheap it is if the PS3 falls to around $300... b/c HDTV adoption is continuing to INCREASE not stand still or slow down. And the Wii just won't be enough to satisfy after a few years. And MS... well, their system will still have a MS library.

Just a guess but I will be suprised if Socom, R&C and Uncharted make it out for a 2007 release. Maybe they will no prob but I have not seen release dates for any of those.Riverwolf007

They all have release dates though... those 3 are scheduled for Nov along with MGS4. Although I'm kind of sceptical of Socom making it out that quickly though. The others have been under development for quite some time and are already near completion anyway.

Right cause us tools only play games that gamespot gives AAA to right? like PDZ! perfect AAA game or MGS1 revolutionary but got an 8.5, but hey gamespot reviews are law right!

ya but the fact that socom is online only will cut the development time in half. which is good cause im a socom fanatic and iv never touched the single player. same would also go for warhawk so it will just make the games cheaper. i win lol
