I've studied the games so far, and I'm not sold on either...but Kinect right now by far seems much worse library and direction wise.
I'm not a fan of the pricing of Kinect games (3 $50 ones, the rest $60) vs. the Move $40 games.
Also, I bought a PSEye, long ago, and just buy bying a Wand, i'm good to go with Move.
The separate Sub controller used in some MOVE games is NOT needed for Move at all as you can interchange a Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 with the subcontroller.
I've weighed in on all of game catalogs, the pricing, but still, I'm not sold either one yet. I already have a Wii I'm satisfied with (Ironically, most of my fave Wii games hardly use the Wii's motion, or it's tacked on like NSMW's spin move.)
In the end, It's about EXCLUSIVE AA-AAA games for me, in genres I'm interested in...so, I put this back on both companies to deliver.
i'll save my money anD stick to controllers. waving your arms around infront of the telly just isn't videogaming to me. nothing beats sitting alone in a dark, dank bedroom for hours on end playing single player. OLD SCHOOL!!!!!
Get PS Move. Very precise games that are not on rails rumble/color orb feedback does the casual camera flail games with PS Eye Around 50 Move games announced compared to around 25 kinect gamesWhich one would you get and why? I am trying to put up comparison list to help me and all of us choose.

Firstly, both suck. Move is awesome, but if anybody is a Wii fan or Hcore Gmr(me) it is s**t Kincket(whatever) is really cool for the first time you see it but no one would like to jump up-down thier living room, the best controller in my consideration is the Sixaxis Dualshock 3 controller, it packs light motion capabilities with great controls and very responsive buttons. No fanboys please I've got both PS3 and 360 and on a better screen with 1080p, you'll always love PS3 games.
Move for sure.
Because I like buttons.
Because if done correctly motion controls can be alot of fun. (IMO)
Because I want to play that wizard game.
Kinect looks horrible.
I love my new 360 s, but I didn't get it for Kinect.
I hope MS does well, it doesn't look like they are spending to much money on it, so perhaps it not that big of a risk for them.
Neither of them particularly appeal to me at the moment but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Move. I guess I could replay Heavy Rain with the motion controls rather then play some shovelware. I do honestly believe that Kinect or some other similiar product will be great eventually but certainly not any time soon.
Probably both eventually but not straight away. I've had some good experiences with the Wii and these other two seem quite a bit more advanced. MS have said they DO plan to have some games use a controller or peripheral in combination with Kinect, so there's some hope there.
I would wait at least a year on both products as the success will be determined by casuals picking it up or not.
And i dont think casuals will pay the price for those devices. For a casual that has no game console yet the PS3 with move will cost (300 (PS3) + 100 (move+ EYe) + 30 (navicon) = 430 dollars + additional 80 dollars for another controller). A 360 with kinect will cost (300 (360) + 150 (kinect) = 450 dollars). A Wii will cost 200 dollars and an additional controller with motion plus and nunchuck will cost 70 dollars.
Either way buying a Wii is much cheaper and it also has Wii Fit which seams to be a phenomenon of its own.
Ill stick with the Wii thanks and pick up motion+ at some point... there won't be anything decent on the other two for ages anyway.
Kinect is really not made for us SW posters (unless you do own Wii fit). It's going after the Nintendo casuals, and will fail hard, because Nintendo already has the Nintendo casuals.
Not interested in Move either for now, but with the right support at least that has the potential to be interesting to me.
Ps move is nothing new, its a wii rip off. Kinect doesnt use a controller, and its completely new and technological. So Kinect. However, the PS move also will have a better collection of games, and the Kinect games Ive seen so far look completely ridiculous....So I dont know....DeanG642
The Kinect is nothing new either it's just a PS Eye-Toy ripoff.
PS3 + Move bundle (100) = 400. you don't need the "navicon" but yes still expensive.I would wait at least a year on both products as the success will be determined by casuals picking it up or not.

depends maybe later on down the road I'd look into them. right now MS chose the casual crowd apperantly to work out better software to eliminated the lag. so if lag was fixed later down the road and more core games showed up, everyone else starts picking up on better techniques onn control and hybrids showed up then I'll get kinect (and if it felt good to play) . move more than likely never. I hated the wii- SO MUCH (sorry ninntendo :( ) so kinect is a possiblity (althouh a very slim one) but I would et kinect immediatly if a conker hybrid wa involved.mayceVi see almost no chance for kinect to sell decent numbers

MOve is a more advance version of the Wii controller just like Kinect is a more advance version of the PS3 eye,non are revolutionary or new.

is it advanced though ? there are a lot of problems reported that dont exist on the wii (input lag being one)also the move has no mario galaxy or wii sports resort.

I think you are tech confused,Kinect is the one with lag, from what i read Move has been pretty much lag free, but how would that be different from the PS3 Eye and Kinect since the PS3 eye can do 60 FPS at 640 X 480,and Kinect can only do 30 FPS.
Since when sony need a Mario game to win a generation, didn't they win in a row without mario.?

orly in deed.
never said that kinect has no lag i was just pointing out that move has lagafter reading all the posts. i can see that most of you guys are like me and have an incline towards the move for price, games and performance. But i think we still need to wait a few more months to see what each piece of technology actually hold true. I am putting down some questions and problems each might have, lets see were it leads us.
A few problems Kinect might have:
Since there are no controllers if you have a lot of friends over, won't movement effect game play (since it doesn't have any registered tracing)? does it really have that good movement recognizing and tracking system as shown in the promo vids, i doubt it.
Ok moving arms and upper body is one thing. but how long can you jump around? even if the experience is a lot of fun. Given that we play games to relax and entertain ourselves.
Since this is a first, the technology might have lag and/or other problems with it, and if that happens you could have to get a new kinect (given our experience with Xbox's red ring of death) its not very promising reliability wise.
Plus the games are more expensive then Moves' ones.
As gamers we have gotten used to some sort of controller or keyboard or joystick or whatever it might be, as it makes us feel a part of the experience and greater sense of control, will the Kinect actually be able to make us feel the same way without any controllers. I mean if we are playing say football on Kinect, instead of kicking air in your living room and possibly breaking something, wouldn't we prefer to actually go out and play football with a real ball? Since we are doing most of the stuff anyway?
A few problems Move might have:
The controllers might breakdown, as chances of us throwing it around are high.
Might be hard to play with it for a longer period of time.
Might have lag if two + players are playing simultaneously.
Will other lights in the background distract it?
(i cant think of anymore right now if you can then add it)
The only motion controlled game i want is Child of Eden, so i will go for Kinect, i am dont consider buying Move at allKinectISLife
Just so you know, Child of Eden is for both Move and Kinect...and it also supports the 360 standard controller, and PS3 standard controller.
I just saved you $150 dollars for Kinect now since that's the only motion game you wanted, or showed you a reason to like Move.:P

Also, Welcome to SW and GS forums, KinectISLife! Hope you have fun here.

I don't think it does actually support Move as yet, as it's apparently being "looked into."Presumably it will unless moneyhats are involved as what is at it's core an on-rails shooter, Move should not be difficult to implement.
But really even if it did support Move, it's not like theseekar cares.
Kinect definitely, had a chance to get my hands on it and it worked great. I noticed any problems people were having with it at the Microsoft store were user error.
Plus it's already selling like crazy, so the support will be there. Plus, I have a Wii and don't want to have to get a PS3.
