Yeah, the 360 is cheaper than the ps3... but 360 breaks on you. 360 requires you to buy add ons that should be free (and are on ps3). 360 has a fee for online. When you figure all this in, the ps3 is a bargain.. and it plays blu rays,, something youd be nuts not to see value in (i assume HDTVs will be the norm in 2/3 years)

You seem to be stuck in 2007. The PS3 isn't the cheapest BR player anymore.
You can get a 360 Arcade and a standalone BR player for $400 now. Chances are, by Christmas, you'll be able to find a standalone BR player for $150-$170. What do I need a PS3 for again?
All this points to the same conclusion: the PS3's supposed "value" based on its BR feature is quickly slipping by. They need to make a cheaper unit to stay competitive. If the Wii gets a price drop (it still hasn't, but aren't we due?), expect Sony to go into Defcon 5 mode.
