[QUOTE="SecretPolice"][QUOTE="Javy03"][QUOTE="SecretPolice"] Can only cows use the Just Wait line because if I'm allowed, I'm going to say............
Just Wait till MS knock $200.00 of the price of the 360 in less then a 12 month period; then we will play some sales games ! ;)

Price is not the 360s problem. It has been around 150 dollars cheaper then the competition (PS3) for a while now and it has the arcade model priced at a near Wii price point. Its variety and worldwide appeal.
The 360 is currently cheaper then the PS3 and still being outsold, what makes you think that it being even more cheaper will help it a significant amount, not to mention the fact that the PS3 could drop in price as well?
You make a point of pricing not being a major contributor then you say " PS3 could drop in price as well " ;)Price is ALWAYS a factor.
Just for emphasis - Period !
My point is that if you think price is MS ace in the hole then you are wrong. Price is not as much a factor as VALUE. The Dreamcast and GC were cheaper then the PS2 but it still wont, why because the PS2 had more value for its price.
In 07 the PS3 beat the 360 in worldwide sales even though the 360 had more games and was cheaper because people were willing to pay more for the value of the PS3. They found having an all in one HD gaming machine and HD movie player more valuable then saving 100-50 dollars and just having a gaming machine with poor reliability.
The 360 slashing prices will not help it, its already cheaper.
Look, I can appreciate that PS3 is doing better and I'm all for it !Please be honest though; if MS has only cut the price of a console that launched in Nov. 2005 by $50.00 to this very day.
Do you really think if they were to have dropped the price another $100.00 in Nov. 2007 that these sales numbers would look anything like this ?
Cmon man, I'm happy the PS3 is doing better and don't want it to fail but please.......
