PS3 officially twice the price of a Wii or 360 core.

Now that the only version of the PS3 is the 600 dollar version it is now twice the price of its competitors. With taxes 7% where I live the PS3 at its lowest will cost a whopping $642. You can buy a core system or a wii and buy 2-4 games for the same price. With just 1 game with a PS3 purchhase you'll be paying into the $700 range with the PS3. Can you say MILKED.

I'm sorry but resistance is not worth $700.

Many people used the 500 dollar version to shorten the gap in price. Now it is not there. The Gap has widened to 200-300 no matter how you look at it. It is tantamount to a price increase.

I'm a lemming but I always buy all consoles. The exclusion of the 20gb version just delays my purchase of a PS3 by another year. I was going to wait 2 years originally for the price drops that would bring it to 300. but now that the price has virtually increased I''ll be waiting 3+ years. 

 I would have bought hte 20GB version because I have no use for WIFI and I won't use that much HDD space. I barely filled my 360 drive so I don't think I'll fill the PS3 drive either. I never filled the Xbox drive and that was 10GB and I have 100+ games for that system. Hell, I barely filled my PS2 memory card and I have almost as many games.
