PS3 on 1080p HD

I just bought a 42 inch full HD TV for my room and im having a couple of problems with it.

my xbox works fine i hooked up the HD cables go to settings on the XBOX dash and change the resolution to 1080 and the picture is good.

But for my PS3 I bought 300 on blue Ray, HDMI hook up and HD AV Jax and the picture doesnt look that great. it is kind of fuzzy a little bit. Is there something to do in settings that I'm not doing? I have both cables plugged in HDMI and HD is that even nesseccary?

what do i do???

300 is grainy, they use a ton of post-processing effects on it to make it look like a comic book. It's not the best thing to show off your HDTV. Planet Earth and Casino Royale do the trick. Black Snake Moan is nice too if you want to see Christina Ricci's chesticles in 1080p.

Anyway, you shouldn't have both HDMI and component cables plugged in for the PS3. Use only HDMI.

the 300 story is really cool. the only thing is it's not based fully on fact but on his graphic novel. other than that it's a great movie and the way it's shot is awesome. especially their shields and helmets.
