ps3 or 360 - better graphics?

as of right now im gonna have to go with ps3 , looking at gt5 and final fantasy they look stunning, but 360 does have amazing graphics as well - gears of war, fable 2, and alan wake look great. What do you all think?

At the moment: PS3... nothing on the 360 really competes with Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank right now. UT3 is pretty gorgeous too. I don't see anything in the near future coming close to GT5... and who knows how much better the finished version of KZ2 is going to look!

I do expect high graphical standards from Alan Wake (based on the cgi we've seen), Gears 2 (b/c hey, it's Epic), and possibly Fable 2. But I'm not so sure those will be enough to tip the scale back in the 360's favor.

Have you played both Uncharted and Gears? :?

Uncharted by a longshot man, it's absolutely beautiful. I do expect Gears 2 to kick it up a notch though. My only worry is that the unreal engine doesn't really seem to be as graphically dominant as it once appeared... but we will see.

BTW did GS officially declare Uncharted the Console graphics king? i am hearing that a lot and i dont know if it's just hot air or if there is an actual statement. I wouldn't know i've never played it.MunkeySpunk69

No, I haven't. However, a great deal of human beings state that Gears of War is the best-looking video game.

Alan Wake and Fable 2 have no equal IMO, their worlds are simply vast and detailed as no game before (bar Crysis), and have Crysis level of lighitng, that no game has today (bar Crysis of course again)

Also Mass Effect and Gears look better than any PS3 game today too

Sony made some HUGE design flaws by only giving the ps3 256 mbs of ram. The PS3 is much weaker than the xbox 360 in terms of raw processing power.

And btw Gears has better graphics that Uncharted.

Two games that aren't even released yet... Those two games will be easily trumped by Killzone 2 and Resistance 2.

The PS3 has 512mbs od RAM just like the 360(It's allocated differently, on a specc sheet you see it documented as 256 in two different places, for those of you who can't add 256 + 256 = 512). Also, the RAM in the PS3 is more efficient. In addition the Cell is vastly more powerful than the 360's processor and it also functions as the GPU which is complemented by the 'Reality Synthesizer'. By the way, Uncharted it vastly superior to Gear unless you have some sort of eye sight problem.

360 by a small margin. Ps3 will probably never surpass the 360 due to 360 gpu and memory advantage. Uncharded graphics are overrated.aceReborn

Hense Uncharted.. And, however great or not great the game will be KZ2... The graphics of the game when it was in (I refuse to call it pre-alpha because there's no such thing) alpha stage shocked us all..

Fable 2's graphics look nice, but Alan Wake?!?! I mean even on the trailer which they would have touched up it didn't look that great. The start for example, when the trees are rushing by, did you not see the amount of pop-ups and screen tearing?

Gee, I find that hard to believe.

Uncharted is the console graphics king going by a few sites and many gamers....believe it or not. Naughty dog did a great job with the PS3.

We will have to see how much of an improvement gears 2 will be..going by the tech demo shown not long ago, it should be impressive.

GT5? dont tell me you looked at those BS pics that are taken from replay with motion blurred environemt...anyways uncharted>anything on 360 graphically, so currently ps3 ahs better graphics
