PS3 or 360 fans please explain....

I am obvously a huge fan of the Wii.  I have also owned at one time or another all PS's and both Xbox's.

Now the question I am wondering is this:

How come PS3 fanboys only compare themselves to the 360, and never bring up the Wii??

It is painfully obvious that the Wii is kicking and taking, so I think, since they can't argue numbers, they would rather just argue graphics and features with a system that is more expensive than the Wii, namely their arch rival 360.

So just to make it fair, I was wondering if some of the PS3 fanboys can tell me why you choose not to compare yourselves to the system that came out about the same time and is outselling your system 4-1?

Do you accept the fact the gameplay>graphics and avoid the truth, or are you just trying to justify a $600 dvd player?  Tell me, if you can, why you do not think the Wii is a real gaming console?

As a Wii owner I see why they're not compared. While they are direct competition in the simplest of descriptions (despite what Nintendo states), they really don't offer (at this time) the same style of gaming experience.

PS3 and Xbox 360 are a really good comparison game style wise.

So the basic answers I get are:

1. Graphics

2. Sells numbers don't count

3. Doesn't matter

Wii, 360, & PS3 are all 3 consoles. PERIOD.

Wii is selling more, 360 has more games, and PS3 can not stand to be in last place after a few years on top.  That is the bottom line.  360 should not be in this comparison because it has been out for over a year, but instead of slashing out at the real competition, you ignore the Wii, and dream up new ways to compare yourself to the 360.

I owned a PS3, and could not justify it's pricetag or it's hype.  The Wii at $250 is now and will remain the more "fun" of the 2.  360 will always be ahead of the game because of the headstart it had, and PS3 will now remain in 3rd because of it's companies opinions of it's customers.  BluRay will not carry this system, and it will go the same route as the laser disc.  Normal everyday people will keep Nintendo on top, while sony pushes another proprietery format (UMD) down the throats of people who can't afford it.  PS2 was brilliant.  Why not concentrate on making the video game player happy?  That is what I think Nintendo is trying and succeeding at doing.  Take note Sony.  Put out a version of the PS3 that doesn't have BluRay, and cut the price.

I don't pick on Nintendo for the sole fact that I respect them. They are a great company. I ever only owned 2 Nintendo systems. GBA and NES. I really like the GBA... But there is like no games for it that I like.

NES... The best 8 bit system... But they always broke from the way the cartridge was loaded.

I must have gone through 4-5 NES's back in the day.

But I don't hold it against Nintendo. I have had alot of fun... In the end, thats what really matters.

A lot of people dont do this, but it does help. I did this a little while ago with all three consoles, and, surprisingly, it was the Wii I wanted the most games for. Followed by the 360 and then the PS3. So all this nonsense about not having AAA quality titles means nothing really, its all subjective opinion. Im not denying there have been games that are below par, but people seem to think that 3rd party support is a bad thing? Its getting as much 3rd party support as the PS2 probably.

The funny thing  is fanboys label it a casuals and non-gamers only console, yet the PS2 was a "casual console" just as much as the Wii is and nearly EVERYONE who labels themselves a hardcore gamer bought one.......

i have a ps3 and i love it more then anything itself and ill never own another xbox again. and hes right people only bring up the xbox or ps3 thing when the wii is winning. but id rather own a wii then a 360 anyday and ill never bash a wii but there is many ways i can bash xbox 360 after working for them. machine is trash
