PS3 or 360? What should I get?

I am a proud wii owner. But my ps2 and xbox are getting kind of old. I want something else to play instead of the wii. Don't get me wrong the wii is great but I need some reassurance. What is the all around better system to buy? I want a system with not all M rated games ( Have a little Brother) and I want to play some multilayer online.

I was once like you mate... I ownly owned a Wii, and yes the console is awesome, im thoroughly enjoying it.

But i too faced this predicament, to get a PS3 or a 360. I got the PS3, besides the fact that it plays both PS2 and PS1 games (there are so many awesome games on both systems), we know that in the near future there will be a massive explosion of new PS3 games, and amongst them some awesome titles (Final Fantasy 13and MGS4 anybody?)

yes at present the 360 has some great games (Gears of War etc) and Halo 3 is on the way, but really Sony has an amazing knack for getting some unbelievable titles (God of War, etc)

Presently the 360 would be the way to go, but personally, i looked to the future, and with some of those titles i above mentioned the PS3 would definately be the logical choice.

But dont forget the Wii because that will be the best of the nex-gen consoles

Last time i checked, my 360, that i had since last june hasn't died, and I play alot more games on it than my PS3. My PS3 has been relegated to playing game demos and Blu Ray DVD's. Next gen gaming is almost exclusively done on the 360, except for Motorstorm, which is the ONLY game that I enjoy on the PS3 at this moment. The 360 has way more good games that I play and if given the choice, I would get rid of my PS3 first.

depends on what kind of games you like. There was recently a article in my PSM magazine that compares XBOX to PS3 and it says, and i agree, that if you prefer Japanese style games and developers and cant live without series like Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, God of War, Ratchet and Clank or other titles then PS3 is you best choice. However, if you prefer western style games and developers and prefer halo, fable, and forza, the xbox is a better choice.

For movies, i read somewhere that Blu-ray is beating hd-dvd 5-1, but given the history of sony who knows what the final winner will be. Ive found that the difference of HD movies to SD movies is not enough to invest in $29.99 movies, but if you must have high def movies the PS3 would be a better choice.

The PS3 has a online community, which is smaller than xbox (but xbox has been around longer), but it if 100% free. I dont see why its always being bashed because i believe its perfect, but thats just IMO.

I do own a PS3, and not an Xbox360, and at the moment i would say by a ps3 especially now due to the price drop, but if your not willing to wait for the good exclusives than buy an Xbox360.

Both systems have good games. PS3 probably has more games that are not M rated, but 360 probably has better online.

The best thing to do is look at the games out now and in the near future and see which you would rather play:

360: BioShock, Mass Shock, Halo 3, PGR4, etc.

PS3: Lair, Heavenly Sword, UT3 (timed), Ratchet & Clank, etc.

Decide what games you like first and then buy one or the other. I'm not big into FPS, so I gave my 360 to my nephew and got a PS3.

If you plan on buying 6+ games immediately get a 360. If you don't mind that PS3 only has 2-3 good games right now then get a PS3. PS3 will be getting more top notch exclusives this fall alone with an even better looking 2008.

This Fall PS3 - Lair, Heavenly Sword, Socom, Warhawk, Folklore, Rachet and Clank, UT3, Haze, a few other minor ones. Multiplats - GTA4, CoD4, Assassins Creed, DMC4, Burnout, many others. Kick ass lineup that will keep you busy this fall and 2008 looks even better.

The 360 is defective and will break down on you sometime in its lifetime I suggest getting a PS3.

if you are a person who loves FPS and good online buy a 360

if you like another types of games like final fantasy and metal gear solid and free online buy a ps3
