I am about to buy this $470 dollar PC from Dell

It is a

Core 2 Duo E7300/2.66GHz 3M 1066FSB

3GB DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz

Dual Channel DT Dell E2209W Widescreen 22.0 Inch Viewable Image Size,

Integrated Video GMA X4500HD Dell Vostro

320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive 7200RPM, 16MB Cache,Vostro

I was buying this because I wanted to get into world of warcraft but

I was also interested in a PS3 since its looking pretty sick right now

What would be a better purchase

This pc for 470 bucks or a ps3 for 360 bucks

also WoW should work on any PC. Since you are on one right now(or a MAC but that works as well) You should be able to play it.

PS3. What are your specs right now? WoW seriously isn't that demanding. Pretty much everyone I know can run WoW, and they didn't buy a PC for gaming. It just so happens that the PC is powerful enough to play it.

That's no special pc, dont mind me but I hate Dell, I would way rather have a PS3, however WOW is something unlike quite anything I've experienced so I have to say get the computer. But first check the system requirements on your current pc for WOW, make sure you have a DVD drive on it, if you can run it fine on your current system then I'd think about getting the PS3!

If you already have a PC thats working fine, i would strongly suggest the PS3. Its basically a computer all in itself, with many of the PC cababilities minus some of PC's stellar titles (i.e. WoW) but if your interested in MMO's the PS3 has DC Universe, Free Realms, and MAG coming in the not so distant future.

I would go with a PS3. WoW isn't worth a whole PC upgrade. If you don't know if your current PC can handle it or not then download the 14 Day Trial.

You can't customize dells, otherwise this would be an awesome deal, cuz you can just throw a good card in there. But, it's a dell, can't do it :(

I don't know probably has to do with they want you to buy everything from them. They do sell gaming PCs but they are way more expensive than their regular PCs, even though the only difference might be like a $150 video card..

How do you know you even like WoW. I hated it. If you do all this, and don't even know if you like the game...

I wonder if you can run WoW on a PS3 linux distro. If yes then add it to the list of PS3 AAA titles:lol:.

3 gigs of RAM, a 2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo isn't very good? What world are you living in? You know that has twelve times as much SRAM as your PS3 right? All you need to do is throw a decent videocard in there and you've got a bomb ass PC.

Hell, if you can run WoW on a PC Linux distro I want to know about it. I'm looking to switch from Windows forever because the OS is a piece of trash. FYI WoW is Mac/PC compatible, it's not made for Linux, meaning you'd have to be running Wine or something to get it to work.

Get a Ps3. Intergrated graphics sucks as you have no option to upgrade. You could also choose to get a 360, you would beable to get a few games with the price you want to spend. Wow is good but dont buy or build a system for one game.

For future reference make a poll. The PS3 is the clear choice and I first played WOW on a 10 year old laptop so trust me whatever you are using right now will play WOW. I however strongly discourage starting WOW it is the Devil and means you only harm both physically and to your social life.

You don't need a high-end PC for World of Warcraft. WoW is a 4 year old game built for Direct X 9 and Windows XP.

Also - you probably won't want a PS3 if you get WoW, because you'll want to play WoW all the time and your PS3 will just collect dust.

I think WoW is one of the greatest games ever made, but I would never buy that crappy pc just for WoW. Your better off with a PS3, or get a better PC that can actually play some other games.

The cool thing about WoW is during my time playing it was basically the only game I played and it was a measily $15 a month.

As soon as I quit I went back to the same old console habit of buying two or three games a month and spending over a $100 at a minimum every single month.

If $$$ is a factor here you can't beat WoW.

Why do you keep bumping old WoW threads and posting the same thing?
