Don't worry Nintendo has already said they are working on designing more cooking, mopping, scrubbing, face training, and how to speak Swahili software. When those start hitting the sales will go up again. They should make a game called Finance Man how to play stocks. That would be a huge seller.

If those Japanese sales go in VGChartz sales for US+everywhere else, the PS3 has outsold the XBOX 360 worldwide this week.

it's gonna take about 52 good weeks, worldwide, for the ps3 to catch up to the 360..

you need to come up with more than a week's spike in sales to convince anyone the ps3 has a chance... which it really doesn't out side of japan...;)

Japan still has like half the population of the US and is 4 times bigger population wise than California.

It's not the point though. The Japanese still basically own the industry, most of the top sellling games are Japanese games. You get a couple of big American Franchises like Halo and GTA, but other than that, Japanese games still run the industry becuase they are the games that will sale everywhere.

Most of the top developers are Japan based, and would rather put games on the PS3.

Basically, the Wii is the leader in US sales, per month, and on pace to pass the 360. It is still behind overall in the US.

That said, the Wii is much farther ahead in Japan, and at this pace, the PS3 is on pace to tie the Wii in japan in about 2 to 3 years, if the PS3 can keep up that sales lead.

I believe, the expert analyist I am, that the Wii is selling out in Japan atm.

However, worldwide, the Wii has a significant margin of victory over every other console, and it will get much bigger after the holiday rush, with Nintendo increasing the supply of Wii's worldwide, if they all sell as predicted, by the time SSB:B comes out, the Wii will have a 20,000,000 unit fanbase(according to them) and will have relatively outpaced nearly every console ever created in sales by nearly 2 to 1.

Hardware sales begin and end with the Wii this gen.

if the 360 continues to sell as it is, and the ps3 still only maintains an 200,000 sales in the regions then it will stay behind the 360 no matter what!
