After weeks of it dying, it finally comes back.
Of course, GTA4 and LBP released in the same week/month. That might drive sales a bit.

Imma proud of ma boys :D!! god bless sonY!campzor
Really?
On topic: Its about time Sony made a good showing in Japan.
is this due to little big planet.SiKh22
Based on its reported JPN first weeks numbers, I don't think so. LBP had a respectable first week for a new IP on the PS3, but nothing ground breaking in terms of sales.

Its sold okay, but its a game thatll sell over time, im thinking its going to hit 200k lifetime, if not more. Also there was the bundle, the release of 80gb and offcourse GTAIV, yes thats right, GTAIII, VC and SA all sold really well there and GTAIV is an even bigger success considering the userbase. Heck GTAIV sold well on the 360 even
Again, it doesnt matter if the PS3 outdoes the 360 for the rest of the gen, what matters is MS holding steady in the region. Last week they sold 6k units, not bad considering its the PS3s big week, though it couldve been down to GTAIV

Uuumm.. the 80GB PS3 (LBP) bundle got release late last week I believe. That's why. XBox 360 did the same thing when their Tales of Vesperia bundle was released. The XBox 360 outsold the PS2, PSP and PS3 all combined one week.

GTAIV sold 33k, almost all 360 owners had bought it.
[QUOTE="MojondeVACA"]Lets see how long it last.rumtumtugger
Maybe 2 weeks. :D
That's what I'm thinking, but we'll see. The holidays are just around the corner, so it may stay about 10K through the holidays. If FFXIII was bundled with the 80GB PS3, it definitely would.

It sold 40k, and the userbase is nearing 800k there. In Japan, a 100k game is considered a hit, at this rate, itll at least go onto sell 80k.Please Log In to post.
