One word to summarize this movie.. AMAZING, honestly probably one of the best if not THE best Rocky Movie. The pacing is perfect, Music is brought back by the original composer for the first movie. The last fight is awesome, just all around awesome movie with awesome story. Now on to blu ray. YES IT LOOKS AMAZING. Infact I do own Black Hawk down on blu ray as well and I must say that Rocky Balboa even looks better than Black Hawk down! I was suprised myself. I think its because black hawk down is recorded in 2:40:2 ratio which means its the widescreen version with those stupid black bars on the top and bottom which i hate, Dont get me wrong black hawk looks amazing, but I think "Rocky Balboa" looks a lot better on blu ray. Infact I also have Talladega nights and Superman Returns on blu ray and Rocky Balboa even surpasses those movies for some reason. Superman returns actually didnt look that impressive on blu ray to be honest.

But yea. Bottom line. If you own a PS3 and a HDTV, Balboa is a must buy!! Oh and one other thing, if you dont have "1080p" (Which 1080p is highly overrated to begin with) then dont fear because my tv is 1080i/720p and it looks just as good on 1080i as 1080p in my opinion. I have the 50 inch samsung DLP rear projection 1080i/720p TV, bought at circuit city for $1200.00 and trust me, blu ray still looks amazing on it. Sure a 1080p might look SLIGHTLY better, but 400.00 more dollars better?! Umm negative

Is it just me or does "I got me a blu ray" sound like a massive innuendo":)

Lets pretend for a minute I'm actually interested in seeing the original Rocky, would I want to fork out for a PS3 to see it on Blu-Ray or would I just get the DVD and save myself a small fortune? I'll let you work it out.

What happens if you do not have a 1080p TV? What benefit do you get?

yea, i have that rocky movie on my netflix list.. so i guess i'll get around to watching it one of these days...  good to hear you enjoyed it..

and yea, i didnt specifically buy my PS3 to watch HD movies..  i bought it as a gaming machine..  but since i do have a PS3 with a HDTV, it only makes sense for me to watch the Blu-ray version of movies rather simply watching the DVD version..  i mean, why not?..  it's a no brainer..
