[QUOTE="clubsammich91"]It only does everything.blazingneo32089*gasp* Really!? Can it make coffee? Course, every morning it talks to me beside my bed and hands me breakfast as well.
Pros: Better exclusives than 360 (in my opinion), Blu ray player, plays psone games, online is free, Metal Gear Solid 4 is mind blowingly awesome
Cons: Online isn't as good as 360, it doesn't do everything (it hasn't made me dinner or helped me find a job)
Please, no fanboyism, give me every pro and con of the PS3.blazingneo32089Pros: Regiong Free, Blu-ray Disc, Free Online, Built in Wifi, Low defect rate, Printer, Internet Browser, and has a good library of games most of which get unnoticed. Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice is a great example, but apparently this game just isn't good enough to most gamers. Even though it has a bigger amount of replay vaule compared to anything on the market for the Xbox 360 gaming wise to my knowledge.
Pro: online is just as good, tired of people saying that.
Con: It doesnt do everything. It cant make waffles for breakfast.
[QUOTE="clubsammich91"]It only does everything.blazingneo32089*gasp* Really!? Can it make coffee? I assume you were joking, but when they say it only does everything they mean multimedia wise, it can do pretty much everything.
Initially, I thought your topic heading meant something to the effect of "PS3 owners aren't fanboys". Are you Japanese by any chance?
Pro: Has some good games.
Con: Needs some more good games.
Doesn't every console? lol But what they are trying to get the point accross with is that the PS3 lacks alot of games, so it goes only on quality.[QUOTE="blazingneo32089"]Please, no fanboyism, give me every pro and con of the PS3.Hiroshi_IchirouPros: Regiong Free, Blu-ray Disc, Free Online, Built in Wifi, Low defect rate, Printer, Internet Browser, and has a good library of games most of which get unnoticed. I agree, Disgaea is one sexy ass game, it doesn't appeal to the majority of gamers though.
The PS3 is this generations Tactical RPG console, thus I bought it.

you should have created such thread in the PS3 section and not SW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This thread is best in the PS3 forums since 2006, because regardless your in system wars you'll get fanboys wherever you goWell said. Pros- Great first party games like KZ2, Uncharted, MGS4, RFOM. Free MP on PSN. Blu ray player for HD movie fans. WIFI, web browser for those that need,/care. Cons- No BC with largest AAA library outside of PC, the PS2. Doesn't include HD ready connection. Not mic or headset. PSN is a good online but to me at least lacks community feel, and communication from many gamers due to no mic. All in all a great system, well worth the price. If you have the cash it's worth searching for a BC model as I did.[QUOTE="blazingneo32089"]Please, no fanboyism, give me every pro and con of the PS3.Animal-Mother
If you have the cash it's worth searching for a BC model as I did.cainetao11smaller quieter PS3 > that one
Please, no fanboyism, give me every pro and con of the PS3.blazingneo32089
Pros:
Sony HDD not required
Compartible with most blutooth headsets.
No batteries needed for controller(and recharges with any USB cord)
Free online play
Blu-ray player
Wifi
Psp connectivity(Remote play; one word, "awesome")
Media can be stored on HDD
First party titles usually have best graphics on console.
Best Dpad
Internet Browser
Ability to print
Sony(They just don't milk as much as M$)
Cons:
LIVE features > PSN features
no multiple sign-ons for all games
No trophies for all titles
No customizable soundtrack for all games
The R2/L2 triggers on the controller
Game library less in quantity than the 360's
Multiplats on average look marginally better on the competition
Require install for some games
That's all i can think of for now.

I can't hear my phat PS3 anyways, I don't see how it could get much quieter other then sometimes hearing the sound of air.
i never hear anything everPros: It's only $299 now. It has lots of harddrive space. If you're into epic-scaled cinematic games with rather than twitchy fast paced games, its library of exclusives will be more suited to your tastes. Blu ray player. Free online. No RROD.
Cons: Online is inferior to xbox live, and less populated. Doesn't have some great games, like Left 4 Dead or Mass Effect. There are a handful of multiplats that look and play better on the 360, most notably Fallout 3.

You should all be pimping the big words. That's like the #2 reason I'm thinking of getting a ps3.

i never hear anything ever I actually have a slim downstairs and my old 60 gig upstairs, the difference in sound is pretty impressive, 60 gig actually sounds like a motorbike in comparison.I can't hear my phat PS3 anyways, I don't see how it could get much quieter other then sometimes hearing the sound of air.

Please, no fanboyism, give me every pro and con of the PS3.blazingneo32089
Pro:
Amazing exclusives currently out and coming out later (Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Resistance, Heavy Rain, God of War etc)
Free and easy to use online. Just feed in a user name and password and you have an account that is ready to go and play online.
BluRay means games have a lot of space and you can play 1080p movies on your machine.
You can instal Linux.
Cons:
Many online players don't have and/or use voice chat.
Lacks many multiplats coming to Xbox 360 and PC.
Pros:
blu-ray player, nice wireless mics that come with games that cost 60 dollars, ps3 controllers have longer battery life and you don't have to buy a rechargeable battery pack, wi-fi adapter built in without having to buy one for 100 dollars, Cell Processor that even PC gamers like me are impressed with, low failure rate, Touch sensitive buttons on the front, Can help cancer research by running playstation life, free PSN and Dedicated Servers, Can play many different formats of movies (and even all with the right programs on your computer), Pictures are presented in a very professional way, No power brick, can read my SD cards for my photos, can hook up a keyboard and mouse to browse Web, and HDMI ports included on all models.
Cons:
Not a very long warranty, mics need to be recharged a lot (like after 8 hrs), PSN is not good as XBL, Doesn't have much RAM, Spiderman Font, Didn't have really any games to begin with, More expensive and lengthy to make a PS3 game over Xbox game, Some exclusives are not great as they're touted to be, Slow downloads compared to XBL, Xbox Avatars are better than PSN's Home, No party chat, and No cross game chat
pro: bluray, free online, decent game list cons: most expensive, six-axis is a gimmick and vitally unused, online is not all that great, multiplats are usually poorer quality than the xbox and pc versionsshadow_hosi
Now that the PS3 is $300, it's equaly expensive to the Xbox 360.
LINUX, (am i the only geek who's bother to install yellow dog linux on his ps3, trust me I have a crappy pentium 4, the ps3 as a computer beats the hell out of it.
