PS3 owners will not see FFXIII before 360 version is complete

Toriyama has revealed in DKS3713 that as of July 29, 2008 the Final Fantasy XIII team did not receive the 360 development kits at all, and because the game will be released simultaneously for both platforms in North America and Europe, this means the PlayStation 3 release of the game will be held back until development of the Xbox 360 version is finished.

Guess 360 owners dont have to worry about FF13 coming out for the ps3 first. Also the demo they bundled with advent children I guess is useless now for the US and Europe since the release will be way off due to the delay.

I dont know why they just dont release it for ps3 then 360. I mean they are doing it for last reminant so why not ff13. Seems kind of unfair.

technically they can still play it first since ps3 is region free. Some games recently they have even added english subs to their games, maybe square-enix will too.

How does that make the demo useless? This just gives PS3 owners more incentive to buy AC (as long as it's released in Europe and America). It will probably be people's only Final Fantasy fix until Christmas.Itinerant_Voice

As much as I would love to play that demo, square is milking us for more money making us buy Advent Children for bluray. I already own the DVD. I dont want cough up another 20 something dollars just to try out a demo. I think I can wait for that to come to PSN or Xbox Live.

Im going to get LR next year. Mainly cause ill have enough JRPG/WRPG and I dont wanna get sick of the game type fast. Im getting IU,fable 2,VC and Tales for wii.

Hmm how many times have 360 games been released early because the PS3 wasn't done plenty but the one time a PS3 version could be done and out the door Square says nah let's just wait on the sales we could get for the PS3 for the 360 version to be completed... Please.

It really cracks me up that you keep hating on Sony for the Playstation 3 and their whole business and stuff. And you don't like Nintendo, or companies that support their consoles more than yours.

However, the video game crash was bad, and Nintendo brought the video game industry back to life with Mario.

And, without Sony, you probably wouldn't have your Xbox at all. Nintendo brought up gaming, and Microsoft probably wanted a piece of the pie. Sony made video gaming more widely known with its huge release of the original Playstation.

Yet, it seems you refuse to accept that fact, and treat those companies as if they are the dirt on your shoes.

So, that why I see fanboyism pointless. Without a lot of the companies involved in the past, what would we have? We'd be in a world without videogames, and, that would be pointless. So, as a lot of people say, respect your elders, respect your parents, and respect yourself.

Yes but I would rather wait for the US release. I dont want to be reading subtitles while playing the game. And u know how long FF games are, id rather hear them talk then read now days. But reading was pretty cool back in the days for these games but this next gen so yeah but japan will get it first then u will see the game release for both 360 and ps3 on the same date for US and EUrope.
