5. Then came Sega Genesis lol

I think the first three were available in Japan only though....and the were just upgrades of each other respectively...so much for the third consol curse superstition... Considering that Sega went well beyond that.

Edit: Consider the first three as one consol since they were simply better upgrades of their previous.....that would make Sega Genesis the third consol...and we all know how unsuccessful it was....;) ...... right? ;) ;) ;)

Since when was the N64 a failure?  Sold almost 25 million units in a market that was much smaller, quite a few really good games . . . a disapointment to Nintendo that Sony came in and sold more, but not a failure by any means.
