is it stock shortages or people not buying them? i know in the UK they are hardly selling now?!

The mediocre sales of the PS3 I believe have finally reached 3million. The price and the lackluster line up of games is a turn off for a majority of people out there.

nexgenwars isn't actually far off, if you look at the graph they are actually showing lower sales then when they get the real figures  the graph jumps up so your "hahahahahahaha" isn't needed.

Cows will learn just how much price is a factor this year.

$600 is expensive to many people no matter how much cows say otherwise.

i am a gamer and what i see right now is xbox360 is bringing lots of top quality games while sony hoping that mgs4 and final fantasy 13 would save them , and all i can say to them is good luck ,cuz your gona need it .

Nexgenwars...? 

Nexgenwars isn't a reliable site.  No one really knows how many PS3's have been sold until official reports come out.  The site just takes educated guesses.  In my opinion, the PS3 isn't selling out because there are no killer exclusives out for it yet, it's overpriced, and the Xbox and Wii are hot stuff at the moment.  It'll pick up the pace, but it's certainly not because of shortages.  I hung around GameStop on the first week of football playoffs and watched two people come in, ask for PS3's, and watched them  walk out with them.  No reservations.  Paid in cash.   If you want to be surprised, be surprised the Wii hasn't sold 30 million yet. :-DScreamteam411

Let's not be too hard on Sony. Yes, they screwed up, but so did:

-Nintendo with the Virtual Boy

-Atari with the Jaguar

-Sega with the Dreamcast (and arguably even the Saturn)

Hopefully Sony will learn their lessons and offer the consumer a better value with the PS4 (assuming there is one). As far as this generation goes, they will finish a distant third.

I don't go to Nexgenwars.  The sales ARE around 3ish million from the general concensus of many sites.  It's a fact that $600 is turning people off.  If it wasn't, then it would be selling far far better.  The price is the first thing that most people complain about when mentioning the ps3.  Everyone is waiting for the price to drop.

Lets see, WHich of the two Sites Guessed the 600K in Eu accurately???? vG CHARTS. Which of the Sites displayes JPN  software sales weekly. VG charts... Vgcharts has accounted  for various sales in the three main regions. Nextgenwars is flat out guessing
