PS3 shouldn't have been released, Sony should have continued with the PS2.

While the PS3 is bombing, the PS2 is still the second most selling console this year!

Sony should have continued to support the PS2 and they could had just held back the PS3.

The PS3 is just way too expensive and support is way too little to have it released at this time.

Sony could have waited a couple of years before releasing the PS3, when it's cheaper to produce and it has more people backing it up.

Anybody realized this?

I think Sony really wanted to secure a place in the market, with the 360 and all. If they had waited the 360 could've sold quite a bit more, the patience of gamers only go so far. Just my opinion.

I think you are the only onewho realizedthat buddy. That is like saying Nintendo should have keep supporting the Gamecube, it is basically that same thing with an upgraded controller!

the bluray/hd-dvd war is the more important war for them, since it would provide countless billions of dollars more to them if bluray does win, which is looking more likely these days.

If they waited a year, the costs could have been down by launch, it would have a stellar launchlibrary, and maybe they could have had some newer tech.

oh, and the ps3 is doing worse than the ps2. The sales are roughly equal, but the ps2 was supply constrained, while the ps3 almost never was.

Doubled? Seeing as the Wii is selling the PS3 5 to 1, you would think sales would have quintrupled!
