50% of it's power.

If you saw Game Head you heard the developer mention that now Drake's Fortune is utilizing roughly 30% of the PS33's power and when the game ships it probably will use roughly 50%. Here's the episode. I know he said it on the actual show on TV. Gametrailers cuts it short so check it out. The 360 at this point is almost maxed out and the PS3 has tons of room to go. That proves how superior the PS3 is.

Yeah that shows that PS3 games are going to suck for years until they get up to 90%.

And yet with games running at whatever % on the 360, it seems to shut them down. Forza ring a bell?

Well, they said that they're currently using 30% of the cell processor's power, not the entire system's collective power(whatever that means). They mentioned that an estimated 50% will be used by the end of the project.

This is true. That's even better though. The PS3's graphics are on par with the 360's as things stand now. However, the 360 is maxing out and the PS3 isn't even really trying. Clearly the PS3 is the better console.

so you say that you know more than the developers of the game you are speaking about? they clearly stated only 30% at this point, and 50% when they are done. i think i will trust the people coding it and making the game over some guy on a forum.

And that's 30% and 50% of Cell's processing power. Not the absolute limit of the console...

The way people can tell the 360 is reaching the max is when it starts getting close the electronics start to heat up a lot more. Now the PS3 that's sitting in the exact same place the thing stays so cool that the fans are barely running. A good indicator that the system isn't even working hard at all.

This can be used to get a better idea of what is happening in the real world.

Uhhh, That's makes almost no sense in this situation.

It would only turn up results if it was a PS3 next to a PS3.

He doesn't, but its not hard to imagine that the PS3 often suffers from not being the lead platform.

What's full power really?

Different developers using different tools to make different games are sure to have different results than each other. One game might looks prettier, but the other game might be doing a lot more under-the-hood calculations. So far, we're really judging based on visuals.

as usual the lemmings acted like they didnt hear when the dev said this is the best system to make this game on... "this game is taking advantage of bluray and would not fit on a single dvd disk, it would need mutiple disks, and no one wants to be switching out disks anymore" bu bu bu bu bu bluray is teh pointless!1!!!111
