MGS isnt coming in 07 Konmai said so. Killzone prolly isnt coming out in 07 and if it does its vaporware at this point. DMC great game will help sell consoles. Motorstorm, not a system seller, Lair and HS, nobody really cares about. And while people may hate Halo think its overrated it will outsell almost all the those games combined. Not mention GTA another huge casual hit. So while i see were ur coming from, really ur biggest titles arent even coming out in 07.

Halo 3 is on 360 and GTA4 is being released on both at the same time. Unless MGS 4 is released I can't see the PS3 beating the 360 or Wii. I predict Super Mario Galaxy will be the biggest exclusive game in 07 followed by Halo 3. The PS3 as far as I can tell doesn't have anything that can compete in 07.

If you think Halo will be beaten in sales by MGS, you are clearly in denial. Yes, I prefer MGS to Halo, but even a 5 year old can work out that Halo is a bigger seller. And casual gamers won't know what Lair is, they'll just buy games they have heard of, like GTA. Even if the PS3 does beat the Xbox 360 in Christmas, I personally think the Wii will beat both of them

First off, if we pit Halo against Metal Gear Solid, I'm afraid Halo is more popular in the West. Actually, I'm certain Halo is more popular. I also don't believe relatively unknown games like Lair, Eight Days or Heavenly Sword will be as appealing as Bioshock or Mass Effect, no. I cannot for the life of me understand why Cows are hyping Killzone 2. Although I am looking forward to the ownage, Lair Eight days and heavenly sword appeal to casual gamers more than Mass or bio and Casual gamers make up for most of the market You think Lair, Eight Days and Heavenly Sword appeal more to casuals than Forza 2, GRAW 2 and Heavenly sword? Its not games like Lair that sell systems. It may be a great game, but casuals won't buy it. I live in the UK, and I can already find Okami in bargain bins and its only been out for a week. Games like Need For speed outsell Okami, but Okami is a brilliant game.
MGS4, lair and Heavenly sword are all good looking games which should kick ass but in my mind, Halo 3, Mass effect, and Bio Shock will over-shadow them completely ... tho i wouldn't mind a God of War/ heavenly sword type fighting game on the 360... that is one lacking category...

Let me brand this: [OPINION] Okay. 1) Halo 2 is an Xbox Live goliath (it took 2 years for something to beat it). Those same gamers are anticipating H3. 2) And MGS4 will appeal to the casual audience if Halo and Forza don't?
1. The chances of MGS4 having an 07 release are very slim. It was left off the Konami 07 release schedual.
2. Halo 2 has close to 8 million sales on a console with a 24 million install base    MGS3 has close to 4 million sales on a console with a 110 million install base

Halo 2 didn't really spike Xbox sales that much. How do we know that most people who really want Halo 3 haven't already bought the console?
Also, MGSIV has much more hype than MGS3 had. MGSIV is following the same pattern in hype that MGS2 had with the TGS vids and E3 vids etc. MGS3 didn't have that kind of hype which is probably why it didn't sell as much as MGS2 which sold 6 million from memory.
You also have to remember Killzone. Yes, it will sell the PS3 Cake and when November comes I will be proved right!
