I would never play a racing game with a controller.
I would never, ever, play a racing game with a wii-mote.
I would never, ever, ever, play a racing game with a keyboard and mouse.
If your playing a decent racer, GT, Forza, Need for Speed, PGR or whatever, you must have a wheel.
I had a terrible time with the PS3 controller. The triggers would be the obvious choice for gas and brake but they aren't anywhere close to being as precise as the 360's and trying to hold them down for a 10 minute plus race is litterally painful.
Either way it's way better to have a racing wheel.
Haven't played a racing game on the Wii so I can't say anything about that.
This man gets it! :PI would never play a racing game with a controller.

I'm not sure which one. I haven't had much trouble with the Wii remote and I am able to win races or just win by a lot, races that are not even close in Mario Kart Wii. I played racing games with the PS2 controller before and felt nice. I haven't used the 360 one before.

PS3 is the best
But Wii remote is good I did good with Excite Truck, Mario Kart, Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, and Need For Speed Carbon using the Wii remote.
It isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Edit* Added another racing game I played with the Wii Remote.
objectively = X360 fanboyshly = PS3 I guess that's what you'll get most of the answersMystery_WriterI prefer to use D-pad for some racing games.
Yes wheels are the best but they are expensive, useless without a way of setting them up properly. They require much mire space than anything else. In terms of pads, the 360 is the best atm.I would never play a racing game with a controller.

PS3....hands down......nose up.......... because of the dualshock3 got motion control that can act as steering.hippiesantaSix axis steering feels like a car with too much power steering; there's no aligning feedback or even centering. Plus, the convex triggers are a no-go for long holds.
This ;) Way too expensive :(, 360's ~= ps3.. Check your local Craigslist and Kijiji page. I managed to find a guy selling the Logitech G25 on Kijiji. Turned out he lived just down the street from me haha.[QUOTE="Robbazking"][QUOTE="Randoggy"]Logitech G25 ;)Inconsistancy
@all Wiimote lovers
Agreed. Once you've developed a feel for neutral position, precision turning is easy. Gentle turning of wrists/arms is easier than minscule thumb movements made worse by stick resistance.
If only the Wiimote's buttons were pressure sensitive, we might have been given a racing sim. >.>
Meh, I'm fine without racing sims. I like the arcade stuff (Mario Kart and F-Zero) a LOT better.@all Wiimote lovers

More good games is always a good thing, even if you don't think you're going to play them. We are in System Wars, after all. :P
