the chart to end all discussion PS3 Good: best graphics most power almost no shovelware great titles like MGS4 and KZ2 superior version of CoD4 controller's practically weightless blu-ray silent cooling fan excellent value free online service Bad: enourmous & heavy a tad expensive less exclusives than the 360 less DLC than the 360 PSN isn't as well-developed as XBL sixaxis is often tacked on Overall: 9/10 360 Good: several tripple-A titles like Halo 3, Gears 1&2, Mass Effect, ETC. controller design is simply perfect Xbox Live is awesome more DLC than PS3 easily removable hard drive Bad: Red Rings cooling fan sounds like a jet taking off swearing 8-year-olds on XBL XBL costs $50 a year most 360 developers are owned by Microsoft. rare instances of shovelware add-ons are UBER expensive. overall: 8/10 Wii Good: a couple stand-out games like brawl nintendo franchises haven't lost their charm occasional good use of motion sensing cheap Bad: game library is 90% shovelware motion sensing has been tacked on since the console's launch nintendo is focusing on the DS and forgeting the wii Wii bowling can break your TV Wii fit doesn't really work Wii music sounds terrible games that have Wii in the title are often gimmicks last-gen graphics last-gen power Miis don't really do anything and worst of all NO COD4!!!!!! overall: 2/10

the ps3 does not have the MOST power, and if it does, it's too minimal to notice. It just had the most hardware FEATURES

as far as a "rating" system would go, i think overall library's stack up somewhere like this:

x360: 9
Ps3: 7.5

Wii: 6.5

while the actual system (hardware, reliablity, features) would go like this:

Ps3: 9
x360: 7
Wii: 4

imo of course, feel free to flame me :D

i'm not blaming the 360, or microsoft. it's not their fault, but it's still a HUGE issue in halo 3. ps, ds is good, but dsi sucks. i can't believe nintendo was stupid enough to take out the gba port.

why do you think the pc is better than the consoles. sure it has better technology. but is it really worth spening 200 dollers every year on a new graphics card or prossecor etc. and with consoles you dont have to worry if your games aregonna run on your system. plus consoles have a ton of more exclusives then the pc

I know that there are kids that play xbox live but maybe I am just lucky enough to have not ran into the swearing 8 year olds yet. Oh and do you perhaps think that maybe the reason you don't have as many swearing 8 year old on PSN is because PS3 does not ship with a standard mic? Plus everyone has the power to mute someone if they are annoying... my point is it should not have been a plus for PS3 that it's Call of Duty 4 is slightly better.

*suits up flame suit* All the current gen systems were absolutely horrible... let's see: Wii Seriously? Revolution was an awesome name, and pretty much symbolized everything the Wii could have been. Motion controls would have been so good for RTS and FPS on the console, it could have been such a good console, it could have sparked a *ahem* Revolution. Obviously, Nintendo saw the their folly and decided to give it the name of Wii. First of all, what the hell does the Wii even mean? Big N said it stood for "we," as in we the people, but from my viewpoint it looks more like "You loyal gamers can suck our Wii." The graphics and processing power is absolutely pathetic. They are completely incapable of producing quality beyond last gen, and could have easily been achieved by sticking another fan into the GC and overclocking it. Oh yeah, and did I mention the games? They suck. Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and Smash were really good and fresh. The others weren't. No More Heroes and Madworld? 5 to 10 hours of okay gameplay for $50. And you thought $60 for PS3 and 360 games were overpriced. Now granted, I will concede the fact that the Wii has Tales of Symphonia: DotNW, a sequel to one of my favorite GC games, even though DotNW was disappointing and hardly this-gen just like every other title on the Wii. Xbox 360: Okay, you have your Oblivion, you have your Halo, you have your everything. So what is bad about it? First of all, I would probably be more happy if the damn thing didn't fail on my every 6 months. It is a nice gesture to replace it for free, but I'm annoyed that I still have to wait like a week to get it back. The games are all pretty meh. They are all sequels of sequels, and it would be nice to finally play something fresh. But that isn't how M$ operates is it? PS3: This system is the biggest joke of this gen. Your competitors include a system that can't stay functioning for more than a year and a system that has a male genital part for a name, and you have the "best" hardware. And you are last. WHAT DA EF? You have MGS4 and KZ2, both which provide more innovative gameplay than just copy+paste sequels on the 360, yet you still cannot win. That says a lot about your company and system. Not to mention the internet service, which is a huge joke. The UI is cool, but messaging your friends is very bare-bones and feels like last gen. You can send a message with a subject and a box of text. Nice! Oh wait, the new patch allows you to talk with voice chat. Double Nice! Except for the fact that 360 and Live does this better. It's easier and more simple, and doesn't lag your game when you bring up the overlay. Last gen was the best IMO. This gen is disappointment after disappointment. I owned a GC and PS2 after it became cheap back then, and had plenty of friends who owned XBoxes. Now, I'm mainly a PC gamer with a disappointing Wii sitting forlornly in my room. The 360s and PS3s of my friends all sit unused until the next blockbuster title, in which they will get busted out and played for a week or so before they return back into inactivity.

it's definately a plus since CoD4's so AWESOME!

CoD4 was not that great IMO it was just a spray fest the single player was better than the multiplayer

Plus everyone has the power to mute someone if they are annoying... my point is it should not have been a plus for PS3 that it's Call of Duty 4 is slightly better.

it's definately a plus since CoD4's so AWESOME!

CoD4 was not that great IMO it was just a spray fest the single player was better than the multiplayer
