yeah I know, but just watch the video, lol :P
pc version of UT will always be better end of storydipper145
Why?! Why does it have to be one version is better than the other.. Me personally ive never played a UT game but im getting this on my PS3 day 1 because I love what Epic did with Gears of war and I love online multiplayer shooters so ill know i will love this game..
I wish just for once a reviewer would review this game based on those people that havent played a UT game before because i know for gamers like me that this game will be fresh and awesome and personally I hate super fast paced Shooters, it makes the game repetitive and old really fast, I love Halo 3 type pacing and I think UT3 will be perfect on PS3.
Im just sick of "UT3 PC is always better on PC" why? From what ive saw, they both are the same game both look equally good graphically
man, where is everyone?
Did everyone actually leave system wars as a result of the recent Gamespot controvacy?
Hardly anyone is posting:evil:

You may be right. The PS3 version may be the definitive version of the game since there doesn't seem to be many people online on the PC version. The PS3 version will probably attract a lot more gamers online.
The PS3 version won't sell, cows are going to buy the superior PC version to play on their rigs.

Exactly!! Im just tired of these reviewrs reviewing this game and using all these techical terms like "well its not like UT 2004 because of the technoligcal mods that can do this and that" why not review the game for gamers like me that have never even played a UT game and could care less about Mods and just want a solid, no holds barred FPS, how will those gamers like the game?! Ofcourse PC gamers have games like Crysis they will look atUT3 and think its a joke, but they dont go into detail how PS3 owners will like this game?

Honestly, I don't know.
I think cows would be better off getting it on PS3 due to the expectation of more people playing online than the PC version. Strange thing to say I know but I think it will end up being true based on the number of people playing the PC version of UT3 at the moment.

Everyone knows that the PC version with a top notch PC will look better than the PS3 version. That is obvious.
But the question is....would you buy a game that looks a little bit better on PC or a game that looks a little worse on PS3 but has loads more people playing online.
Which game would you buy?
I'm going with the PS3 version.
PS--not every console gamer has a high end PC--I don't..I've got a good laptop though...just that it isn't that good for games.
The toned down pace of the PS3 is a really nice fit , making it much more playable for your average online gamer. Some people won't have their PCs up to snuff until next year so they can enjoy it now if they want to on the ps3.
Nike_Air
Blasphemy. Just ask any SWcow who played the superior PC version of Bioshock instead of buying a RRODxbox360, or who is currently waiting for the PC version of Mass Effect.

Go look at the performance guide for UT3. It doesnt take a powerful rig to run it. YOu could probably build a PC for the same price as PS3 and get a lot better FPS, AA, AF, REsolution, pace, and have DX10.

Yeah but I'm not saying, go out and buy a PS3 to play UT3. I'm saying, If you already have a PS3 then get the game because it is really good. If you have a kick ass PC and PS3 then you'll have to make a decision.
I would say that it is a good idea to wait and see which version has more people online and then buy that version. Do you agree?
Its too bad thatUT3's PC community pretty much seems DOA.
Haee
agreed but the PC version was rushed. There was problems with the GUI etc. Patches seem to be resolving most of those initial issues. Hopefully more people will get the game and enjoy it and play on the servers.

The funny thing is UT3 on a top notch PC doesnt even look that much better then the PS3 version. The PS3 version looks equilvent to a pc running it at max settings the differnce is its running it around 30 to 40 fps instead of 90 to 110fps but the fact is it runs and looks outstanding on the PS3 .

yea but it runs on medium at 40fps on my 2,5year old pc and my pc never was a high end machine. it looks pretty much the same as the Ps3 version, ut3 isnt a demanding game, hardware wise, pretty much any decent gaming pc can run it

Its quite funny how poorly this game sold so far judging from the PC's population with an peak to 1000 players but then again the PC defenders will simply say that they refuse to buy it because of it's "consolization" although COD4 was a case of tis too according to them but still sold better then the majority of PC games.

Um because why buy it when i can get it for Christmas??? Oh I forgot logic was not allowed in SW.

nah, this time arround "consolisation" isnt an issue, the game is pretty much the same as ut99 in terms of gameplay and dosent feel dumbed down, the GUI has a few issues, but they are toralable, the reason this game isnt selling well i guess its because it came out the same time as COD4 and TF2, both games are HUGE online right now, also i think there are a lot more people online on ut3 pc then you might think

Yes but the PS3 version runs on High with max texture detail and effects. The differnce between UT3 on medium and high though is nothing insane . When I was looking at the benchmarks the PS3 verison runs about the same asa PC playing it on max with a7900gtx and a gig of ram.

I get what your saying (although your attack was unneccesary) but think again. Why didnt Black Friday help support UT3 sales? I got it at launch and even weeks after it's launch the amount of players were still pretty low. Would Christmas sales boost UT3? Sure but the sales themselves would be minimal at best.

No I had the game from launch andlog on from time to time but judging from this slow and kinda jumpy online population, I cant see this game becoming a financial success unless the sales drastically improve during Christmas (which i doubt).

well like i said my pc is kinda low end these days, i have a amd 939 3700 , 6800 gs 256mb and 2gb of ram, i never tought it would run ut 3 on low with out fps issues to begin with, i was kinda impressed

You do know that Epic had to slow the movement speed down on the PS3 because of the limited movement and slow pace of gamepads, right? UT is all about fast-paced adrenaline pumping action. The PC version is better. End of story.

It takes a while for the community to get going. Wait until after Xmas. They'll be much, much more people online. The UT series has always had a good community and support.

also its a sequel, its aimed for the comunity that bought the previous games, thats why its so important to base the reviews for people that already played the previous games since they are the ones who should be more intrested on the game
