PS3 vs Wii Debate

Arrite, so in my engineering class (no im not chinese) were having a debate.
Two side are PS3 and Wii, which is gay because everyone knows 360 kills em all lol.
but anyways which is better in terms of:

production pricing, hardware, units sold, market share, game creation.

But I agree, I play the 360 a LOT more than my other consoles. I want the ps3 though for FF13, and maybe a blu ray movie (planet earth most likely)

He's not polling the world, or even NA. He's discussing this in an engineering cla-ss I wouldn't be surprised if most of them loved HD, blue ray, and pretty graphics/sound.. At least as far as console preference goes. Though, that's not to say they won't find the wii the winner depending on how they look at the situation(including how informed they are/bias they are).

Oh, and topic creator, the 360 doesnt' kill anything(but itself! ooooh!). It's got a superior library, but that's not all that matters in the real world. Even then, having the superior library doesn't make it "the destroyer of all other consoles". The other systems can still put up a "fight".

How can you compare them? One is aimed for grandparents, moms, and uncles and the other to a more "hardcore gamer" audience. Logan832

The Wii is aimed at everyone.

How is the ps3 aimed at a more "hardcore gamer" audience? Because call of duty and oblivion are hardcore? I'd say the ps3 is more aimed/marketed towards the typical young male.

EDIT: Both consoles target "casual" gamers. However, the wii targets a much broader audience of casual gamers.
