Ps3 vs Xbox 360...

Wii not included)Ps3 and 360 have rivaled each other for years, but which is honestly better. I'm for Ps3, it has higher memory systems out ,the lowest failure rate, playing online is always free, sixaxis, Blu-ray functionality, and some games (like Smackdown vs Raw) are 6 players offline. Its only weakness is that there aren't alot of addictive games out for it. Like (left for dead 1 and 2), Halo, Gears, and Mass Effect 1 and 2. But its exclusives have way better graphics that its competitors.360 on the other hand has all these addictive games and tons of them. I cant think of a time when i went to gamestop and didnt see brand new games out for the 360. But i also remember my 360 going red and shuting off and have to mail it back to microsoft for a new twice. I also don't like having to pay to play online thats $65 i have to pay (yearly) but still, if i don't pay i cant play.

Kinect and Move aside which system is better?

all in all the ps3, for what it offers. but it's a slight advantage in my opinion

I own both, and just like you i've had to mail my xbox 2times already, and I've had that low quality controller break 4times.

The PS3 has:

1. High quality Hardware
2. Bluray
3. Free online
4. Internet browser
5. Biggest Exclusives
6. Most Exclusives

PS3 for its games and media functionality.

im looking to buy a ps3 soon. if im only buying one of them for the games, what should i go with? a 360 or ps3. i want fun games to play online as well

I cant help but to chime in my opinion about this. The answer is none of the above as the ps3 is used to be bluray player and 360 the occassional the gamer. I had already long moved on using the sixaxis controller with bluetooth while playing the multiplat-ports that come from the 360 while hooked up to the tv.

In all seriousness play which ever console you like and who cares what others think!

The better console will be the one that suits your needs the most. Of course, this will vary from person to person. I have both and it appears that both the Playstation 3 and XBox 360 are fairly competent when it comes to playing games. That's good enough for me, so I suppose it's a tie for me. =P

How do you chose?

I like Halo, Gears, Forza, L4D, etc,. The 360 controller is excellent. The hardware truly sucked ( rrod and all the expensive hardware like wireless broadband adaptors ) until the Slim model, but now of course its great. Live is great, but i hate having to pay for it. There seems to be a lack of exclusive games in the future.

I like God of War 3, Heavy Rain, GT5, the Uncharted series, Killzone, etc. The hardware is great and always provided the best bang for the buck. But the dual shock pad gives me cramps with the analogs stick in the wrong position. PSN is free, and thats great because it is certainly not worth paying for, and i hardly ever use it to game online mainly because i already pay for Live and feel i must play on Live. Some games are gimped on PS3, like COD:BO, so as much as you might want to buy games for PS3, you have to watch out for inferior ports.

The forward momentum seems to be with PS3 in terms of exclusive games, though we really dont know too much about MS plans for next year.

I say flip a coin because you really cant go wrong either way.

90% of my gaming goes to 360, so i will have to go with xbox 360 by far

I only own 3 PS3 games and 2 Wii tites

Who cares which is better? Can't you people just play on the console that you have bought without feeling the need to say that your console is better? What will you gain by arguing which is best? Will you feel better about yourselves, will the mere thought that you have made the better choice affect your gaming experience in any way? I personally couldn't care less about which is better or which has the most exclusives, I buy one console each gen and I just try to get the most out of it. in terms of reliablity, 360 is a joke of a console. I know some people who are on their 5th or 6th by now and what makes it even worse is if your 1 year warranty has ran out, then the money hungry clowns at microsoft want you to pay them money to fix it. Why the hell should we pay for their incompetence to make a working product. Having said that some of the games on it are just too awesome not to play (halo 3, gears, fifa 11.). PS3 is definatley more reliable and has alot of good games as well. It's definatley a though one to decide.

Yeah it's a three year at first, but once you actually get it repaired then it only gets extended for one year, at least thats what happened to me anyway. You must be really luck to not of had a failure in 2 years because most people i know have had at least one. I'm on the 3rd myself and i fully expect it to happen again in the future. I hardly hear ps3 owners complaining about failure's but thats just my personal experience.
