But none of them talk about dev kits. Right?graphics thread #1037498123891274897129347297

i still dont understand why you think a devkit is the reason for RAGE's graphical performance. It uses megatextures, extra ram in the devkit wont make any difference. And as for the geometry i highly doubt that any self respecting developer is going to make entirely new models apart from the retail build just to demo to some people, they could be using that time to say... making the actual game better.

It also has particle effects, moving vehicles and characters, etc., all which would benefit from the extra RAM.

And more detailed vehicles and characters rely more on the gfx than the RAM.
[QUOTE="Raymundo_Manuel"]But none of them talk about dev kits. Right?I tink Mr.TC that uhhh..... Mr. Raymundo is trying to say these topics are just annoying to even think about any more. Remember when I told you that back in the day both systems were a mystery? or did you not read what I sent you in the message? Any one else ready for a new console yet?graphics thread #1037498123891274897129347297

Dev kits are the main reason why journalists hype a game's graphics too soon. It boggles my mind how most people in the industry know about dev kits. But when journalists write about early "eye-on" impressions of a game, they never make the effort to see if the game is run on a dev kit or on an actual console. I stand by my belief that developers have been fooling us all along. Not to be mean, but every Xbox 360 game hyped to match the PS3 best always ended in failure. It's because the people who hype the graphics don't think about the dev kits.
