PS360 owners - Gears 2 or Resistance 2?

The question is, and I only want people who own both consoles to answer this - if you could only buy one of the two, which would it be? Mine's Resistance 2, because I have Gears of War and the second one doesn't seem as different to the first as Resistance 2 is to Resistance: Fall of Man.

Not a fan of either series, but id pick gears 2 for the multiplayer i guess-DrRobotnik-

I like FPS better than 3rd person.......unless we are talking about a Starwars game.

Honestly if I had one choice it would be Killzone 2.....that looks like it's going to be one of the great games this gen.

Gears 2 for me. I tried the first Resistance, and while it sounded like a clever idea, I just couldn't get into the game. I may rent two. I'm picking up Gears two in one hour, eight minutes, which will cut into my Fable 2 time tremendously.romans828_2002

My pick has to be Gear 2. I'm buying Gears of War 2 today after my classes.

Out of the what if situation I might get Resistance 2 later on in the future. I hated R1 especially the MP, but looking at the reviews it seems they made improvements from the first one and I want to try out the 8 player co-op. After I purchase Gears 2 today my next purchase will be Fallout 3, and then maybe R2.

I've decided to budget myself to only buying one game until the end of 2008 and Gears of War 2 is it. I think that shows which one I'd choose.

Although I don't have to choose. I should have them both by the end of the year anyway :P

I'm going to get Resistance 2. I really liked Resistance FOM and the second one looks like it'll be better in every way. I can't wait to fight one of those Leviathans. Lets not forget it has two different campaigns. One for solo play, one for co-op. Then there's the 60 player online multi-player.

I enjoyed Gears at first. I tried playing it again the other day but I was bored after about 5 minutes. I know Gears 2 will have new features but the core gameplay will be the same and I'm bored of it.

I'm not interested in Gears 2 multi-player. I hated multi-player in Gears. If I'm honest it was because I played about six games and never got one kill. In all of those six games the other people on my team done nothing but shout abuse at me which didn't help one bit. I don't play these games online for over 5 hours every day to become really, really good like most seem to. I admire their dedication but I can't be bothered. I just want to have a few games every now and then but trying to do that in Gears without being attacked by teenage homophobes and racists is impossible. My mother has also been insulted more times than I can remember. Gears definitely has the worst online community I've ever had the misfortune of gaming with.

I might get Gears 2 some time next year. Just for the offline campaign, though.

I am really enjoying R2, but i fully expect Gears of War 2 to blow it away in every respect. Plus i have plenty of friends to co-op with on Gears, The one feature i have not tried on R2 is the co-op mode because it pains me to say, but i have no psn friends , and the thought of trying to communicate in a meaningful way using the blu tooth headsets on psn ( if players even have headsets) is just too distressing to think about.
