Your right Ps3 is having trouble catching up to 360's numbers.  If only PS3 users were all on their 2ND and 3RD consoles it would be more even.

i am not trying to be mean but seriously look at it in this view, why would u hate an object that offers u lots of things and which is reliable for a higher price than the others. think of it as in cars the ferrari offers more than the mercedes but u dont have to hate the ferrari. i am not reffering to the ps3 as a ferrari or comparing to other consoles. but the ps3 offers blu ray, free online, some other things that other consoles dont offer

PS3 for March in Japan and NA - 265,098

Xbox 360 for March in Japan and NA - 216,003

All that NPD and Japan numbers prove is that people should stop listening to media spin and fanboys on forums.....

Oh and as for what Sony loses on the PS3, you do know they have taken out the PS2 chip, reduced the size of the Cell and outsourced its production, as well as blu ray parts getting cheaper to make which is obvious by the dropping prices in blu ray players.  Stop being so close minded....

I agree. With DX10 and a entirly new lvl of Graphic Technology, Plus the whole Core2Duo/QuadCore Technology, I am thinking this Generation is going to be a short one.

That's why you build a nice gaming rig. This gen will end early for MS, but last longer for Sony. Sony will not cut it short.

Nope. I haven't seen that since it came out and was in Theaters for 6 months. Im just saying Playstation is a great Franchise, but now the PS3 is causing its untimley doom. Sony Screwed up. Lets hope they don't pull a Sega and rush to release a PS4 to try and save the Franchise.

u r actualy judging a console that is 5 months old and sold around 3 mil units and u call that dooming the playstation franchise... weird

3 mil in 5 months is pretty bad compared to how many the PS2 sold in the last 5 months. Then you look at Wii selling around 6.5 mil in the same amount of time. 360 already has 10mil out there and sells more units then PS3 every month. PS3 won't catch up and will lag behind.

1) That is merely your opinion. I believe that the Playstation 3 will succeed.

The PS3 won't 'fail' in terms of saturn fail, cause sony has so much more strength than sega, and the increasing demand for blu-ray will send sales up, but if it does badly (for sony) say, below twenty million or even in the twenties, I think sony will still try again cause those would still be respectable numbers.HeyHeyMyMy

If the talkof $300 BluRay and HD-DVD players is true, they the PS3 isgoing to be in even worse shape in terms of system sales. But their attach rate should go up.
