Yes yes. The update was great for the upscaling. And yet I've seen some go along the lines of "360 has had this for a long time. Who cares? Why do Cows hype an update instead of games?"

To put it mildy, having your PS2 library of games with the ability of having them upscaled is a huge bonus. I can see where Cows are coming from and why Lemmings are a tad confused about why they are so happy about that update. PS2 has a huge list of games that are fantastic. No it doesn't justify that $600 purchase but it surely is a huge perk if you're an HDTV owner. That's why no one really perks the idea of Xbox games. It doesn't have that huge list of quality of games like the PS2 does. Same said with the PS1 games.

That's odd. They just show pics. And ask their messege boards for feedback. The joke must obviously be on you. Go roam around the NeoGAF forums. You'll see first hand pics and input from users.

Im sure you guys all love your fuzzy upscaling. But hey whatever, If you guys like it, who am I to say. But the PS3 does not have an internal scaler chip, and it shows.

That's odd. My DVD's look a million times better upscaled on the PS3 versus my 360.  And PS2 games (not all) do show some texture differences. SotC is one prime example. You probably don't even own a PS3 anyway. I've done countless tests back and forth from my 360 to PS3 in terms of what should I use for my dvd playback. PS3 wins hands down.

Xbox had a great library of games. The reason this is an issue with the PS3 and not on the Xbox was because all Xbox games had 480p or higher output, whereas many PS2 games were only 480i. The issue really comes about with regard to input lag on LCD HDTVs - 480i or lower content causes problems, 480p or higher content does not.

If you lack HDMI with the full range option, then yes. You've got a problem.
