Ps3-used for all the wrong reasons

I realized that many people use the ps3 as a blu-ray player and not as a game console. I know many may argue with me but just think of it, it's one of the cheapest blu-ray players on the market and it has so many other features bundled up with it. I came up with this conclusion based on how I see the increase in console sales for the ps3 but the sales of accessories and games all being beaten by the xbox. Because when I went to best buy to get a blu-ray player for my wife(some reason she wants one now) the sales clerk insisted for me to just get a ps3, then he gave me A WHOLE BUNCH OF reasons why. If the ps3 didn't have blu-ray than I believe it would've sold a lot less, thus this is why I think the ps3 is used for the wrong reasons!

i got my PS3 for playing games. Took me about 3 weeks to realise it hasn't really got any games i like, now its used as a blue ray player.

I still buy games for it but my son playes them.

If PS3 launched with out Blu-Ray It would have been about $200 Cheaper than that $600 Launch Price

Now If that were the Case Xbox 360 would have been blown out of the water a long time ago

one of the things fanboys often complain about the xbox is how it doesnt have blu-ray, so if ps3 never included blu-ray what more is there for ps3.. NOTHING..

when you ever go to a electronics store do they ever insist that the xbox 360 is dvd player!! Or that it's only for digital movie rentals NOOO they only indicate that it's for games!.. I only have 1 Blu-Ray movie and I bought it only to try it out:P
