I hate the term hardcore and casual. I wish there was a better term, like in movies you have the average movie-goer and then you have the film buff.

Neither is viewed in a negative light really, and both are as vital to movies as "hardcore" and "casual" gamers are to the game industry.

Anyone who picks up a controller and can enjoy any game is a true gamer. I don't care if you have one system or every one ever made. There are often reasons why a person can only have one system, some of them probably by choice and others by necessity.

The only people who play games who are not true gamers, IMO, are fanboys who actively hate games for no reason than to chalk up another "kill" in some war that only rages in their own minds.

You can be a true gamer and still not be a hardcore gamer. A true gamer is just the opposite of fanboy.

Basically you are judging a LOT of games you've never played based on videos, screens, reviews. That wouldn't make you a true gamer. That would make you a spoon fed gamer who has probably dismissed many games that you would have liked, if only your mind was open to actually trying some games instead of being told what you would like.

I have 15 PS3 games and 16 NDS games. I have a list of 20 more PS3 games that is out I want to try and 30-40 NDS games that's out I want to try and I collect SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive) games and I can easily play a lot of my games again.

It's not that I don't want a 360 but the fact that I can't afford it if I want the other games I plan on getting and I don't have that much gaming time.

I know I don't play every game I want to play. There is just not enough time and money. If I had the option of sitting home all day with a steady income from doing nothing, I could.

But I have real world needs like a job and college and my girlfriend that don't allow me the leisure to sample every game that even mildly interests me.

To be honest, im not really interested in PS3/360's line up's that much. Though, I will get a PS3/360 as a secondary beside my Wii.

The only 360 game that's exclusive that I want is Gears of War 2.
The only PS3 games that I want that are exclusive are Little Big Planet, FF 13 Versus, R&C Future, MGS4
Multiplats - PoP Next Gen, SFIV, RE5.

So as you can see I favour more towards PS3 than 360 because more exclusives interest me on it than 360.
