Another back to back solid exclusive for PS4. Nioh 2 with 86 metacritic, and Dreams with 88. Sony is rocking 2020 so far. You picking this up, SW? I have the special addition on preorder.
played the first one for like 500 hrs climbing the abyss floor all the way to 999. will definitely pick this one up.
I really loved Nioh but my calendar already packed with Persona 5R and Final Fantasy 7 remake. I guess I will wait for the Definitive edition.

u deserved the username man. I struggled a lot in the DLC Way of the samurai even though I am already in Way of the Nioh in main story. I probably spec my character's wrong and divine weapons don't seem to do that much damage even with full sets. Especially hated the 2nd DLC story map where they fire cannons at the battleground and u have to move between trenches, got lost way to easy.
Im not playing this in 720p in 2020 on my ps4. Complete waste of a game. The fact that they're not releasing it on pc at the same time is unacceptable.
@sakaixx: same but only struggle for me is opening the map into marobashi on way of nioh and farming item and xp on the masters. even so its a grind to have a full set of ethereal equipment with grace bonus. but once properly optimized and buffed, you can finish every boss within 1-2 combo but still its a grind.
I'm not waiting for any PC release. I'm going to dive right in on PS4. This game deserves way more attention.
Ori just released and by YOU'RE standard (Metashitic) its better than both Dreams & Nioh 2, nothing better than using one's own logic against them TCHBO.
It sure is and it is a fantastic game by the way,no reason to cry in denial about it like you do with every single good game on PS.🤷♂️
Oh wait you were waiting for me to fight the notion that Ori is a great game..lol
Been watching some streams. Its essentially the same game with few new yokai mechanics that a standard expansion would get you. Not only that, but the level design is as repetitive/brown. Only seen it through to the 2nd boss, but the enemies variety is as bad as in the original (this may change later on). I got it, the budget for the first game was very small and the game was in production for ages, but they have no excuses for the sequel. The original sold well, was very well received, so why is the sequel doesn't feel like a sequel at all?
Does this game do a ton of level recycling like the first one? That was the biggest turn off.
Check some streams. From the early game i've seen, the level design is 100% like in Nioh 1 aka recycled as f*ck.
Nah not gonna get this one. I did enjoy the combat in the first game but the game itself is too confusing for me. Not even gonna try for platinum.
This is going to be an interesting year for sony publishing. This could be a good ps5 port given how the engine is just very poor for ps4. Cant help looking at it and saying Ill wait for something stronger. Very interesting year where ps4 is going all out.
@ellos: how? The first game run pretty great on PS4 with really stable 60fps.
Mmm, maybe on the Pro? On the base PS4, even in performance mode (whatever it's called) it was nowhere near a stable 60 lol.
It wasn't awful in most areas, but it was noticeably inconsistent. And in few specific areas the performance was abysmal.
I played it right at launch though, not sure if they patched it up since.
Oh and if you guys mean repetitive environment design in the first game, I get that.
But the level design was legit.

Yest it did but not completely stable and bad at some points. Looked like a ps3 early cross gen port especially on the action mode. I mean the lower resolution really shows. Also it had the old classic over use of the fog to hide details. Honestly I don't necessary care about graphics but now knowing pc version exist cant help but wanting all the help the engine can get. Its not the systems fault just that team ninja haven't really adopted to new or decent engine. I'm saying the engine can use all the hep it can get from more powerfull hardware such us pc and ps5.

Oh yeah I played the game on the PRO. I probably have different perception of the game compared to playing it on the base ps4. Ran smoothly on it.

No I don't expect you to fight being owned, but being owned is nothing new for you.

Yea, I played it on Pro. It runs great on the Pro.
@i_p_daily:
The only thing you own here is your sorry self.🤣
That's it? this is what a defeated tormy looks like, meh pathetic.

I have Xbox/PC/PS4 and the only exclusive to me worth a shit was the last of us and Until Dawn. Struggling getting through Unfarted 4 and God of Bore right now. Not sure why everyone loves PS4 exclusives, they are all the same game reskinned and no FPS exclusives which is a shame.
@cainetao11: oh shit, Cainetao sighting
LOL Ive had some time and came by a bit today
Won't get until it drops to $10-20. It looks a lot like the first one, which I liked a lot, but... just... no.

I saw a stream as well, and everything did pretty much just seem like a copy/paste job. My viewing was limited too, however.
If I do pick it up, it'll be for the PC version and it'll be half price. The first one was decent, but didn't stack up to the Souls games for the most part.

Im sure its worth picking up if you liked the original, which i did. It is just lazy (or maybe no budget?) to do so little changes in a sequel. This game has seen less changes than a yearly CoD, and Nioh took years to come out.
