there a lot of games..i download a lot of free games on the PSN..i dont now why people say there no games when there is some out there..its not like you can buy all of them all at once and play it..

If your looking for first party games its limited. Theres plenty of great third party games though.
NBA 2k14, Resogun and Assasins Creed 4 have kept me more than entertained so far.
I played the original Assassin's Creed on XBOX 360. It was extremely slow paced, repetitive, and had a lackluster combat system. Never again.
I wouldn't compare any AC game from 2 on to the first one, they aren't even the same type of game basically. AC2 and the rest are all very similar but 1 was extremely repetitive and kinda boring and laid out in a straight mission style where as the others are more freeroam mission style (like a GTA game).
Anyways, yes, PS4 has a drought in launch games, thats where x1 seems to be doing a better job. Whats worse is that the PS games aren't coming out for months so it will sit and collect dust. For someone getting both consoles eventually, it makes more sense right now for an X1 followed by the PS4 in a year or so when games are more widely available.
That's why you don't rush out and buy a console at launch.
This. I haven't bought a system at launch since the original phat DS. I won't be getting a next gen console until at least March of next year.
I cancelled my preorder a while ago. The only game that slightly interests me is Infamous, but spending $550 for the PS4 and $100 for Infamous is simply not worth it (Australian prices)
I'll probably get one eventually, but definitely not anytime soon. Have a ton of games on PC, and looking forward to Gran Turismo 6 next week.
One game that might make me buy a PS4 earlier is Pinball Arcade. I played the demo on a PS4 kiosk. Loved it. Oh wait. It's on many platforms. My bad. I guess I'll play it on the PC.
Weird, because I have playing all linds of games since I got my PS4 at launch. I mean there is Killzone, Knack, Resogun, DCUO, Contrast, Madden, NBA 2K14, NFS Rivals, BF4, AC4 and CoD Ghosts. I mean, I couldn't be more happy to be playing BF4 at 900p and not 720p like it is on the Xbone. Oh and Ghosts sure does look and play amazing at 1080p and 60fps unlike the last gen flavor of the Xbone's 720p.
if you limit your play to only 1 or 2 games then of-course there will be no games... Are you an idiot?
so what else should he play? flower? knack?
I dunno..how about battlefield , cod, asscreed, nfs, fifa + other sports titles, knack, resogun, etc...
and before you say bu..bu..bu multiplats... he is waiting for destiny/mgs so....

well... why would he not play AC4, Battlefiled 4, Cod, Warframe, War thunder (next week), Black Light retrobution, Need for Speed rivals, Resogun, contrast, marvel super heroes lego, knack, DCUO, Sound shapes, Flower, Super motherload?
Those multiplats, and free to play games don't count? Why? Did he get them on the ps3 a few weeks before? who would do that and not upgrade with the $10 to the next gen version...and who would have time to finsih them on last gen?
Guy is trolling...for attention... Plenty to play. I only have AC4 and Killzone, but have been enjoying Warframe, Black light, DCUO, Resogun and constrast which all are free on PS4!!
SO even if you only bought 1 game, you get 5 for free, with another coming out next week. Is he an idiot?
How does BF4 look and run on the PS4 compared to the PC version?
PS4 version - 1600x900, high settings
PC version - any rez, low - medium - high - ultra settings
what you need to ask is how your GPU will compared to PS4 version...
Not every1 have a PC that can run it with high settings...

low-end GPU's like the (HD7850) play BF4 with the same graphics and performance like the PS4.
Also according to steam 10m gamers have pc's that have equal or better GPU's than PS4(with 1m user base).
So the "Not everyone" does make zero sense, 10m > 1m.
Its true there is not much on offer at the moment but the system just got launched so am sure things will change in a few months.. Sony always supports properly their consoles..

Uh, no.
I have BF4 on both PC and PS4.
PS4 version is medium @ 1600x900
lol at the people in this thread trying to pretend that the PS4's game selection is anything other than slim pickings.

I've always regretted getting Sony systems at launch. They never have any worthwhile launch titles and as both Microsoft and Sony are making profit with their consoles there will be price drops within the next 12 months. I actually saw a deal for the XBox One for £40 cheaper and that was the day before launch

I would love you to quote somebody who actually said anything like that.
I'm aware that PS4 will probably end up with an awesome exclusive line up, but that doesn't change the reality that there's not much to play on it at the moment and it's kind of daft for people to pretend otherwise.

Agreed. But some here (not including you of course) fancy thinking it'll stay that way just like they thought back when PS3 first launched.
A console at launch has run out of new games to play? shocking
Also I fail to see the point of this thread if you already knew this would happen
Indeed.
On the other end I can't put my X1 games down. Last night had some epic co op in DR3, rivals mode in Forza is so challenging with all the people in your friends list and Ryse co op offers a level of difficulty that keeps you going. So happy I have my X1! The 2 mulitplats I have pale in comparison.

Sorry about that. I put super glue on them....

The second game was a major improvement over the first game. Have you played Killzone 1? It wouldn't be fair to judge the whole franchise on one game, or in this case the first.
What baffles me is where the fvck are the PSN arcade titles, PSone ports, and other such games from the PS3 that could easily play on the PS4? How could they leave out something so basic as that, that the PS4 should be able to play right off the bat with a emulator.. Instead the PSN consists of a handful of games, mainly the select few of launch titles..
I got 6 at launch. I'm buried in games atm. :D
Hail to the King Baby.. SONY
Awww yeahhhh
How many of those 6 games would you consider to be so good that you couldn't wait until better titles come out to buy the system?
All jokes aside and this is pointed at both systems, what are the breakout launch titles? Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like all the best games are multiplats. I can't really see me buying a PS4 to play Black Flag when I have a PC that can max it out with no issues.
You'd need a good PC to able to play multiplatforms in the best way playable.
If not, you got the PS4 for it.
A lot of PC gamers play PC exclusives and multiplatform games on consoles.
The OP already has an i7 w/ a 7970.
He can already play all of those multiplats @ higher settings. He can probably get them for cheaper on PC too.
This is why there's no point in buying consoles at launch. You could save yourself a whole lot of money down the road. (cheaper multiplats, cheaper hardware & a larger selection of games)
$500+ just to play Kilolzone or Borza = bad idea. No matter how much you spin it.
Even with or without a powerful PC...
A lot of PC gamers game on console... for various reasons whether it to be play with friends, or partners or in a different room and space etc etc.
I find myself switching through on consoles and PC, in some cases, the same game.
Always better to wait of course, like wise with any console or games.
It doesnt hurt to jump in early.
I've had my PS4 since last Tuesday and love it. It's a technical marvel - a sleek compact unit with tons of horsepower (for a console) under the hood. Anyhow, the only game I have for it is Killzone: Shadow Fall, which is quite fun, and will probably be the only game I have for the system until the release of The Order, inFamous: Second Son, MGSV, Destiny, and whatever else interests me.
Are there any other PS4 owners in my situation? I'm not complaining; I don't regret getting the console as I knew before hand it wouldn't have many games at launch.
Yes, every early adopter in history has been in that situation. I bought a 360 at launch and had only Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero to play. If you're primarily a PC gamer, a launch console is pretty much a waste of money.

I got Killzone, Knack, Fifa14, NBA2K14, AC4 and NFS Rivals. All of the games, even knack look great. I have a PC that can play the mulitplats too, but this gen I'm focusing my multiplats on PS4 whenever possible. With the case of AC4 my friends have it on PS4 like Eroica and Animal and we can play the MP together. Having better performance does not outweigh playing with friends in my opinion. I'll be getting Watch Dogs on PS4 for the same reason.
I got BF3 on PC last gen and very few of my friends had it and the ones that did stopped playing it a month after.

But all you guys have PCs already, you could have done that without dropping 400 bucks on a new system.
I don't have any doubt that the PS4 is gonna be a great, I just haven't seen anything that excites me enough to buy one yet. Both systems are readily available in my area and a few of my buddies already have them but for some reason I am ambivalent about both consoles.
It's a new piece of tech and of course I want one, but neither MS nor Sony has shown me anything that has me pumped to run out and buy one. Or at the very least anything that's gonna be released within a reasonable time period from purchase.
Maybe when Infamous:SS comes out.
Should of done your research before getting one and were sure you had something to play. If I got one right now i would have at least 3 games to play. KZ,AC4 and BF4.
I have to admit 360 was horrible as far as exclusives but this gen looks so far as if Xbox may excel as far as exclusives but I don't think that will last. Once games like Uncharted and Driveclub come out than the momentum of the Xbox will fall off. If your a PS4 owner than hold on for a little bit as it's going to get very interesting. Buying the consoles early will make Sony push the developers to produce so yeah initially not so good but PS4 will start to build momentum after Driveclub. Does PS4 currently have any fighting games? As I may end up getting Killer Instinct.
I am not a PlayStation 4 owner and although I may have the money to purchase the PlayStation 4 sooner than I would have thought, I am still going to wait a long period of time. The video games I want for PlayStation 4 will not come out until mid or late 2014 and 2015, so there would not be anything I would want to get for a long time. Unless there is a large range of video games that a person wants for a video game console at launch, then I never get why people purchase them early. I was interested in some of the launch titles for the PlayStation 4, but now I have decided not to get them, because I do not think they are of value and if I were to get them, I still wait for a price drop.
@raging_user: Why wait when you can get a wii u with NSMBU+NSLU for 300 bucks plus a backlog of Wii games?
both consoles dont have shit until march and very slim pickings on launch day. thats why i never buy launch consoles. never worth it.
That's right! Because waiting a year and a half for a price drop is worth it.
It definitely is. Cheaper system, tons of games to choose from. Whats the down side again?
Waiting a year and a half to play games on a newer better console. LoL!

Waiting is a pretty insignificant downside. Unless you're someone with absolutely no self control. Playing a game as soon as possible doesn't make the experience any better.

I don't care to wait for a price drop to play on a better console and get to play the games for it. To me to spend $100 less to wait 1.5+ years is not worth worrying about. Now someone who waits 2-5 months, so there's a bunch of games makes sense to me.

Too bad that in 2-5 months PS4 still wont have anything to play.
