Might have the chance of getting one soon. Which do you recommend

XBone has better exclusives IMO and better online features/multiplayer. PS4 has better hardware and visuals. From the perspective of a PC gamer I'm getting an XBone. It will probably bug me that the PS4 has better visuals, but there are absolutely no exclusives on the PS4 that I am interested in. I'll play multiplats on my PC and get better visuals than either of the consoles can even come close to.

Posting this type of question on these forums won't get you anywhere... Best to do your own research.
I'd look at the exclusives on each system and maybe see which system your friends have. Otherwise you can't really go wrong either way.
@Flamer_Blue: Do your own research, come to your own conclusion. Best thing to remember is to not listen to the people in System Wars.
Don't listen to the Lems , they are trying to pull a fast one on you. Notable Exclusives (Metacritic scores - use as a guide)
PS4 -
Xbone -
And if you are talking good games and above on one system and not the other in total , the PS4 obliterates the inferior Xbone by more than 3 to 1 and it looks like it will be more than 4 to 1 by the end of August.
The PS4 is more powerful , and has many things going for it (too many to list) -
It would be best to make your own research instead of listening to the fanboys that infest this forum who will pull you to get one system than the other.

The PS4 is slightly more powerful yes, but consider your points:
-X1 also has a great controller (I have both and actually slightly prefer X1)
-PS+ is certainly an amazing value if you have more PS systems, but overall I'd say XBL is of similar value. (Dedicated servers are bomb)
-MS has great first party studios also
-XBL has an enormous community as well.
None of those are really reasons to get the PS4.
To the TC it really is preference, I'd do 3 things:
-Check with what your friends are getting, more ppl to play with is usually better
-Get a hands on with both of their controllers and interface (at Gamestop or Best Buy or w.e)
-Research the announced exclusives and see which you prefer.
They are both great consoles that are worth every penny, you just need the one that works for you.
if you're going to be playing multiplayer then PS4 because it has WAY more people playing online at any given time, not just in USA but all over the world.

Erm, when it's gonna be 6v6 or 32v32 it doesn't really matter if there's "WAY" more people.
Go for the Uno, better interface, better games, probably better network infrastructure.
The only con is that is an underpowered POS, but at least it has interesting games in the horizon (SO, QB) unlike the IndieStation 4.
Xbox One has a better lineup of games, PS4 has slightly better looking multiplats and more PC indie ports. Personally, Im getting the xbone first.
LOL. Unless the individual like Sony exclusives.....and they will have them this gen.
Anyway TC.....which console has the first party games you want? No one here can answer for you and frankly I can't believe you'd solicit opinions on how to spend your money for your enjoyment.
xbox one have better console exclusives this year
I agree. The Wii U has a great lineup for next year, but we don't know what else Sony/Microsoft will announce. There are also more games to be announced at Gamescom and TGS.

Give us some idea about your genre preferences, what consoles you've had in the past, what your friends have, etc. Or we cannot possibly give suitable advice. Why, I should smack you with a rolled up newspaper, I should.

So just Sunset overdrive and Dance Central?
Watch the trailers from the exclusive games of each console (exclusive lists might have already been posted by other people on the thread) and decide which ones interest you the most. I own all gaming platforms except the Vita. and i must say i been playing ps4 the most. mainly because multiplatform games look better on it, or at least most of them. but in the end th exclusives are what really matters.
If you like the Xbox One exclusives then go with that. For Multipats or PS for exclusives go with PS4. PS4 is more powerful, has better exclusives for me, and the controller is much improved over the PS3s.
Killzone, Infamous, Last of Us, Uncharted, The Order 1886 for me is better than Halo and Forza. Don't get me wrong Halo is great, and loved it on my Xbox and Xbox 360. But multi plats look better on PS4 and like their exclusives. If the Xbox One exclusives are more to your liking then go that route. Both systems are great, and you would probably like either one.
Almost forgot..if you are a fan of the Kinect then it is a no brainer. Didn't end up liking it much on my Xbox360 but I know some people who love it.

trust me it matters when you want to play at 4 am and everyone in the US is asleep on the xbox. PS4 population is global, theres always a ton of people to play for every single game.

But if you aren't? Can you really be the only murican awake at such time?

I've had a PS2 and Xbox, then gave the Xbox to my cousin.
Then I got a Xbox 360 and PS3, then sold the 360 twice.
Now I don't know what to get. I grew up enjoying some of the PS exclusives like MGS and Gran Turismo, but then they either went multiplatform or they went to shit. Gran Turismo is a shit franchise now and I'd rather play Forza.
However Forza 5 seems to be very light on content and heavy on shitty DLC.
It seems that the PS4 is the better choice since the Xbox's future is shaky and is an underpowered piece of shit.

Go with PS4 then unless you can't live without Foza. You have a history of keeping Sony consoles and getting rid of Xboxes. It'll likely live longer than the Xbone with better support, more games and multiplats are generally better on the PS4 if such a thing matters to you.
