So my understanding is that on X1X on a 1080p screen, if the game runs at a higher resolution then the system will downsample/supersample the image. However, this doesn't happen regularly on PS4 Pro, unless the game devs implement it, if you have a 1080p screen then it wont run at a higher resolution.
Apparently supersampling has now been added in the 5.50 beta system update, though it could cause lower frame rates

List of notable games that will with this update finally offer supersampling on your 1080p TVs:
- The Last Guardian
- Dishonored 2
- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
- Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
- Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection
- Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix
- Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (Dream Drop Distance)
- Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
- Metal Gear: Survive
- Life is Strange: Before the Storm
- Nex Machina: Death Machine
- No Man's Sky
- Injustice 2
- Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana
- Everybody's Golf
- Call of Duty Black Ops III
So if you have a pro and the beta update, have you noticed a difference?
