Sony has struck a deal with Amazon where digital content can now be distributed. Customers will get a $5 gift card along their first purchase and from 9am PST today, customers can buy 2 games and get 1 free. This changes everything in the video game digital market race.

Interesting. I saw the deal on amazon the other day, but assumed it was a physical holiday sale. The insteresting part is that Amazon is ship-free/tax-free for a lot of people, in addition to almost always offering a below retail price. If this is the case, where say, a $55 new game is priced on amazon, a digital version would have to be less or include some kind of perk. On the other hand, perhaps this will affect the sales amazon offers on physical copies.

I just checked and they aren't doing the PS4 games yet but they do have some PS3 games available for digital download but they are still $59. You do get $5 off your next purchase though but I was hoping the games would be a little cheaper.
