Inb4 hermits "but... PC is superior" chit.
I see more foliage, weird.
I don't know why they decided to mess with the color grading. PC does have a nicer looking log in that first shot.
More foilage in the one screen, but everythign else is WORSE.
No SSAO and self shadowing - clealry seen in the flat looking grass (and less grass too in that shot). Also the textures look beter ont he PC version. And the PC version is the only one with some sort of depth of field filter.
And that face! Lol.
you have to check ingame on your screen, lets wait digital foundry dissect it
they will probably tell us what we already know, better textures, AA, lights, shadows...on PC
a 7850 card cant run it maxed out even on 20fps, you have to be dreaming to think the PS4 will have 60fps + better visuals
I would say in the top gif the PC looks better, especially looking at the tree texture.
The bottom gif it's hard to tell because it looks like the PC screenshot is taken at a different point with different DOF
Also, the new lara looks kind of derpy in those shots
I would expect them to keep working on the renderer for the PS4 version. They probably aren't going to update the renderer on the PC version.
So yes, the PS4 version could look better because it's going to have a more up-to-date renderer with some newer features and some changes from the older versions to produce a better looking image.
It has nothing to do with the capabilities of the platform and everything to do with the work the developers put into it.

Well, apparently, in working ont hat new renderer (I doubt they did more than tweak it a bit), they forgot about improving textures, in fact they made them worse.. and they forgot about self-shadowing and SSAO, in fact they seemed to have removed some of it.
@BlessedChill: That game looks like shit on all the platforms really. The Lara Croft character model actually looks worse on the PS4 version then the PS3 version. Stupid devs are clueless. The best option is to stick to the original game and forget the DE version.
The PS4 version looks a lot brighter and blander in some of those shots, less shadows and effects. The middle image does look better than the PC version, but not comically.
@CroidX: Pretty sure $60 is nothing compared to how much you would spend on your rig if you have one....
The texture don't look better than the pc its clear in the 1st one. I do notice the change in color bit more saturated in some parts.
@CroidX: What does the price got to do with PS4 version of Tomb Raider looking better than the PC version?
If they are truly recreating this and not just porting the game then it should look better because the pc version was just a port of a last gen game.
@TheTruthIsREAL:
First the only part that actually seems better is the foilage you can tell from the 1st screen that the pc does have the better texture. You really think minor enhancement is worth full price?
The foilage only looks better in the 2nd screen, and I think that's because there is more of it. It looks pretty bad in the first one (on PS4)
