i don't know whether to think those are a fanboys wet dreams are someone hit the bong a little too early but damn. a 10GHZ processor? geez with the amount of heat that'll let out you'll get a console and an easy-bake oven in one.

If you think the ps3 is expensive now imagine with those specs. Besides, that thing will probably explode in such a confined space.

Trust me. There won't be a PS4. The Playstation brand will eventually be replaced by something from Apple.

It's not a PC so it doesn't need to do alot of tasks so i think 2 should the minimum.

Yes 10Ghz does sound crazy, but remember around 2005 when the PS3 specs sounded crazy.Yes 10Ghz will heat things up, but the system can be liquid cooled/fanned. Their will be better and advanced ways to cool electronic equipment in the future. Please note that Sony plans to keep its ten year plan. Also, the Cell was the most powerful CPU in the world for a while. The super-computer standards have been raised. I know Sony is only thinking about consoles ,but do you really think the PS3 cpu can compete with the PC's powerful CPU's in the middle of its ten years. Even today, their are CPU's that can beat the Cell and it is almost only 3 years old. Sony is probably thinking big, even bigger than 10Ghz in my opinion. I know 10Ghz sounds crazy right now, but as technology advances year after year 10Ghz will be the norm... thanks for your opinion though...

besides by next gen I get the feeling that most disc based media will be dropped, I think games will still be released bt movies will probably be all DLC via systems found on PS3 360s and Comcast and other cable networks On Demand systems.

I agree with half of what you said. I agree that you will find movies,games,music...etc through the internet and download/stream them on electronics such as consoles and cable/satellite providers. I think Sony will still be the leader and only company with a disk media. That way you can play your old CD's,DVD's,Blu-rays. It will mostly be for blu-rays. I am pretty sure people are not going to re-buy their oldCD's,DVD's,Blu-rays. What if the hard-drive wipes out the memory? That is when the physical copy comes in handy.

as far as ram goes, i would think 4 gigs os a pretty safe bet. i could see MS putting more in their for the sake of developer popularity (devs always ask for more ram in consoles)

i think 4 gigs because its seems likely that it will go up by 8x just like last time. 64mb (xbox) x 8 = 512mb. 512 x 8 = 4gigs. makes since.

for consoles, 4 gigs should be more than enough. remember, pc games are designed to run on multiple hardware components and configurations, because of that, the games are not optimized fully. if they optimize the games to take advantage of certain hardware and configurations, those who don't meet those strict requirements will be unable to play it. also, pc's have several programs operating in the background which eats away at the ram leaving less available for the game.

PS4 needs to have a multiple disc trey, hollagraphic discs that can hold up to 500g, (they're real) A music service. A computer OS so you no longer need a PC, so they can put MS outta business lol, what else... 5000000000p resolution, MIND READER, thats all for now.

Yeah, it comes out in a long long time. I'm sure over time the specifications will be totally different. But it good that we have a small insight of what is going to be the next Playstation.
