Don't take my word, take Digital Foundry's. They said RDR2 is a huge difference on X1X compared to the Pro. Almost every game is better on the X.

US got all the good PS4 deals this year. UK sucked.

What good did all the do this holiday? The game still probably sold 3 times as much on PS4 and the 1X still got absolutely destroyed in NPD and on Black Friday.

I have to make do with this bloody X1X with RDR2 and FH4 and all those games on gamepass I haven't played, makes me sick to think it's not sold as well as the PS4. Really ruins the fun.

Most companies wouldn't keep nursing a console doing as bad as the Xbox One. They'd cut their losses and move on. Nintendo did. They didn't do constant price cuts, revisions and giveaways with the Wii U. They came out with something else. MS keeps taking an L with this thing to the end.

Not really, they get more games. PS4 has the most exclusives partly because it has a bigger install base. You don’t get publisher confidence with low sales like Xbox has been getting relative to the competition. The reason Sony funds all these high budget AAA exclusives is because they know they have the install base to support them, and the reason MS is lacking in that department is because they lack the install base on their end. So instead of funding games like GOW and Spiderman, MS is funding crap like Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 because the risk to them is less. So in a way gamers do get something from more sales.

The difference in quality between MS first party and Sony’s first party recently is as wide as the Grand Canyon. There are also a ton of quality Japanese 3rd party games MS misses out on because their console sells like shit in Japan. Sales have an effect the number of quality games you get exclusive to your platform and that’s a provable fact. Mentioning only Western third party games as proof that sales don’t matter is bullshit since those games are easy and cheap to port from PS4 to Xbox since both machines are similar. The problem starts to show its head when you compare both companies in their first party and that’s because Sony has a larger install base to work with.
