PS5 is now Outpacing PS4 in Japan (Is PS5 saving Japan console gaming?)

Despite worse day one stock in japan the PS5 has now OVERTAKEN and is leading PS4 in the same time frame! This is crazy.....

Did Sony bring Japan back to life with this new PS5? What is happening everyone thought this one was anti-japan console....it was too big, too western much less stuff for Japan. But seems Japanese gamers HUNGER for this more than the PS4 at this current Rate which is great.

IS PS5 like gonna do better than ps3 and stuff and ps4 in japan who knows only time will tell but right now its over pacing the PS4 that's a fact.

Jim Ryan give this guy something for pulling this off maybe a medal or standing ovation for this Mark Cerny too.

Congratulations to the best selling system of all-time. At first I thought everyone already owns a PS5, so it's impressive fans are already lining up to buy second units to keep those sales going. That's what I call passion for sales by non-salespeople.

Sony Fanboys need to just stop while they're ahead. If they are real with themselves they will admit that the PlayStation 5 will either finish 1 million more above PS4 or most likely 1 million less than PS4. The system will not sell 10 million units in Japan. They will never catch the legendary company known as Nintendo. Nintendo knows darn well that they need to stick with hybrid consoles or portable consoles because those are the only consoles that the Asian markets respect at this point. If Sony had half a brain they would be planning the ps6 to be a hybrid but we all know you hardcore Sony Fanboys don't want a hybrid or a portable to be Sony's main Flagship console because all you guys care about is Graphics Graphics Graphics Graphics graphics. By focusing on Graphics you will only be appeasing the western markets and you can forget about the Eastern Markets if that's the case.

@Amin_and_Azizah: If people cared about graphics that much, they would get a PC. The switch can't run the vast mayority of multiplat games available on last and current gen consoles and I don't think most people would be happy to trade that for portability. If that was the case, they would get a switch. The option is there.

Switch was already doing that. Nothing has changed. If Switch were only popular there because "it's a handheld," the Lite would be selling more than the hybrid. Instead, Lite is only accounting for about 25% of Switch sales each week, even though the hybrid is selling out.

Wii U had a pretty nice recovery after Splatoon though. so PS5 might struggle a bit after that point.

I'll actually miss him, just like I miss Tormentos who was a true cow. lol.

Well, they are probably one of the reasons why the forums are dead. Too much trolling since they would lose every argument otherwise. People talk shit about resetera because most people prefer PS over there, but as far as I know they keep it civil and it has thousands of people online at all times.

The PS5 is a joke of a system. No VRR, no SSD Expansion, now a refresh less than six months after launch. 😂

Meh, Resetera is also a meme. Like @howmakewood said, a lot of their threads have console warring. In a nutshell Resetera is a liberal site where Nintendo and Sony fans have console wars and 99% of them hate Microsoft. You have to remember that a lot of Neogaf people went to Resetera when Neogaf fell apart, so the Sony vs Nintendo war didn't die with them. Resetera is slightly better though because the warring is a bit more subtle, aside from extreme exceptions like Monster Hunter where the console warring was blatant, and there are safe spaces for the few brave Xbox fans to discuss Microsoft. On most other forums, any discussion about Microsoft is derailed, so I do have to give them props for that.
