Yeah this was the first time I've pre-ordered anything in years and since I had free Xbox money and wanted to test out pre-loading, I went ahead and did it. At least I got "one" version free plus the pre-order bonus. If I pre-order anything digital again, I'll wait till the last day before release lol.

Dunno how it is with the Xbone but on PS4 the pre-order isn't charged until the 7th Sep, so you've got some time to cancel.

I noticed that, and I notice he/she constantly edits his/her post after and makes it longer and longer too lol. Hopefully we won't see him/her in any more Destiny threads since it seems like he's/she's not getting it unless somehow he/she gets the both the disc versions for $20 for both or somehow get's it free. I think this was the same guy/girl that said PS3/PS4 cross-buys were a deal and made PS+ better, but somehow this Destiny cross-buy is not a deal and a rip-off lol. Yeah I think he/she is stealth trolling but that's SW for you.

Anyway, I already got the digital lock and loaded for the Xbox One all paid in full using free Xbox money. But if I had known about this cross buy deal, I would have got it for the 360 first then upgrade the same day. Having more copies of games for my systems for the price of one are always a deal.

I have Xbox Live Gold (since the original Xbox 1) and PS+ and I enjoy the free games they offer, many of those games are DD only anyways (no retail alternative).

I don't fancy DD when there is retail, physical alternatives copies available, like Destiny will be. I'm a collector. This Destiny deal is better than most DD deals, but ultimately not enough to get me to bite down and give up the ability to sell/trade/rent/collect/lend/borrow my games. Especially when I know physical copies go on sale all the time at hundreds of retailers. I can wait a few weeks after launch for the first wave of Destiny sales, and I just have to wait two months for mega holiday sales for $20-$25 prices.

If I loved the game, I would buy it day one...but I would buy the physical copy.

I didn't think Destiny was worth $60 after playing the Beta on my Xbone and PS4. I played the earlier Alpha on PS4 as wel. It was competent, but didn't have a wow factor. Eh. Maybe my friends and reviews will change my mind. The game was decent, but didn't impress me.

Games are games, I agree, whether it's digital or disc. This cross buy/cross play promo is ideal for those who are going to upgrade later or who wants to get two copies on two systems for the price of one. Not sure why Destiny digital cross buy/cross play is now a detriment and a rip off. Sure you can't trade or sell digital, no shit. But since this is a new game at least you could have two copies, one for last gen systems and one with all the bells and whistles for current systems. There's always deals on Xbox and Sony money cards too you know, and promos to get some sort of cash back when you buy digital and play them. And you have the ability and could always game share which I plan on doing and what I always do recently.

But yes you can post in any thread and chat about whatever the subject is. I don't know why you didn't just link that beautiful thread as I loved every word I posted in that thread and would love to marvel at my words again. That picture cuts off some of the sweet words. I loved that conversation and would LOVE to discuss it again since apparently you came away confused instead of understanding anything I said. It was perfectly executed with amazing ownage, proof, and facts. I love looking back at old posts especially when someone who was confused somehow is still reeling in confusion 25 days about the older conversation.

That discussion you were completely shown faulty logic and I'm frankly surprised you brought it up because your whole claim seemed incredibly fanboy X-based for some reason, and when I went through to compare GwG/PS+ for another user and you from JUNE-AUGUST, it still revealed PS+ released more games in that time frame. In fact, it's been a month and now it's been revealed that the PS+ counter is 9 PS+ free new games from JUNE-SEPT vs. 6 free GwG new games from JUNE-SEPT. That's a stupid way to look at these services though, only looking at June-Sept though since I and many others have been subscribed to both services and are November 2013 launch owners of both machines. That means that I and countless others actually got 16 PS4 free PS+ games since launch and only 6 Xbone free GwG games since November. No matter how you slice it, GwG has been a let down in comparison, even pretending both services started when Xbox says so which is not the case. I was subscribed to Gold the whole launch period time and only got Xbone GwG games in June 2014. I've been subscribed to Xbox Live Gold since the original Xbox 1 though.

Since that post I made 25 days ago, we discovered that once again GwG recycled another game (Max and now Crimson Dragon):

GwG (6 new Games since June)

1. June GwG: Max: The Curse of Brotherhood & Halo Spartan

The picture I painted 25 days ago regarding GwG's outlet only got worse which was my point, the very same point you didn't want to acknowledge. There is nothing wrong with discussing things that can be improved as consumers. I'm invested in the Xbox ecosystem, I have hundreds of games and I would love for GwG to kick Sony's ass, but if we don't discuss how disappointing it's been, then there will be no fan backlash, and we'll see another recycled game in a few months, something I'd like to avoid.

CROSS-BUY =/= CROSS-PLAY. BUY =/= PLAY. Look carefully at my words again...

Furthermore, thinking something is "a DEAL" and thinking something is "an added bonus" are two different things. I never said Destiny free DD copies were bad, I said that console DD is a ripoff due to the lack of ownership rights. That doesn't matter though because:

I spoke of CROSS PLAY, and you are talking about CROSS BUYS. Those are different. They aren't even the same! So your entire argument again is based on your own confusion for failing to understand my words or words in general.

I never said what you claimed so already I'm not sure what your deal is at all. You are either trolling or just a seriously confused poster. I don't know which. I can tell you that while I think a free DD copy of Destiny is a nice bonus, it's NOT A NICE ENOUGH bonus to make me support DD console games when I know there are physical copies to buy. Futhermore, I'm not even excited for the game and I'm disappointed this game is shackled to PS360 game design and graphics.

If you support console DD games, good for you. I don't unless incredibly cheap prices. I am a longtime video-game collector. I reserve the right to SELL/LEND/TRADE/BORROW/RENT/COLLECT my games. I have family that borrow games and friends that I lend games too or temporarily trade games with. I'm not willing to buy Console DD because I don't have faith in console DD future. I don't want to give up how I game with my family and friends. You can do what you want, but that's what I think and what millions of others think about console DD. It's how it is. I do buy console DD, especially for games that are only released in DD form, but I since I can't SELL/LEND/TRADE/BORROW/COLLECT those games, I make sure I ALWAYS get a deal on console DD games.

As far as DD deals go? This Destiny deal is a-okay, but overall I still consider console DD a rip off and I know why a company like Activision is eager to push console DD. They save money (shipping, profits with retailers, cases, discs, etc) and don't have to pass those savings on to the consumer. Have a wonderful day and enjoy this deal if it strikes you.

I screen shot the convo because you seem to edit your post constantly to back track and add more shit to try to even it out. If you look at the links to pictures I provided, it shows two parts of the entire convo since one screen shot couldn't fit the wall of text. And if you read what I originally wrote carefully, never once I mentioned cross-buy = cross-play. It was you that brought up cross-play in that NPD thread when replying to what I said about cross-buy. So I assumed it was you that was confused about that so I had to combine the two for your sake.

And I'm pretty sure you're a real gamer, as much of a real gamer as the rest of the users here. So this Destiny deal went from a digital rip-off to an a-okay deal even if it's digital. And you're going to wait for your friends and reviews to change your mind about in getting the game since Destiny wasn't impressive enough but a deal to you would be $20 to now $25 and I'm assuming it shouldn't matter if it's disc or digital for that price. I really hope you find that deal you are looking for so you could join the conversations about the full game experience.
