Maybe they are trying to overcome the bias they had back in the day. This could cause them to be a little to critical. Or you could look at it this way, their opinions differ from yours.
I completely disagree. Yeah, they have had some off-base scores (name a review magazine or site that hasn't), but I will always give it to them that they don't just score everything Sony does highly just to do it. They have flopped many a game in the past (ones that I even disagree with), much more than most system specific sites.

P.S. DMC is the best game ever.....
For one, GTA 3 and GTA VC scored only a 9 when a 10 was expected. Mark of Kri, which was highly reviewed everywhere was given like a 6 there. Hold on, I will have to go look more up... its escaping me at the moment. Oh yeah, Shinobi, the Bouncer, those were hyped, and they flopped those...
