PSN is a Graveyard!!!!

I have to say that I am really dissapointed with the PSN. I went online to try and find a online game of Motorstorm and guess what. There were less then 300 people playing the game online. I looked several times during the day and it never rose above 700 people. You might say "WHATS THE BIG DEAL" - well the big deal is that low numbers like that make matchmaking very uneven and hard to find a constant stream of games. I think Motorstorm is a good game, and with the proper user base behind it, it could have been a game that lasted much longer. If this game got released on the 360 you would easily see 20-30k people online playing it. Resistance is better but still is a graveyard compared to most XBL games.

While I have the PS3 lovers attention, I have had my PS3 for a few weeks but only now am I getting a chance to play around with it, does anyone have some cool hacks to mess with?

And how many people have PS3s? How many own Motorstorm? How manyactually one to play it who own a PS3?

Anyway. You may be right, but its not very properly done. You gotta think a little better than that.

 You can play, but the low amount of people means a huge lack of choice. I spent 34 minutes trying to find a game of Motorstorm. XBL users usually have hundreds of rooms to choose from in any game, on PSn your getting 10 or 20 rooms at most. It's annoying but not life threatening, I think you got a bit defensive!

And how many people have PS3s? How many own Motorstorm? How manyactually one to play it who own a PS3?

Anyway. You may be right, but its not very properly done. You gotta think a little better than that.

I know why the online has problems, I am not that dumb, I brought it up because with numbers sold there should be a lot more people online unless the games gets old quick.

Umm, ya, isn't that what an online service is meant for? Everything else is just bonuses. Games with online, are meant to be PLAYED online. I don't see anywhere in games descriptions that have all those other unnecessary bonuses that Xbox Live provides. Indeed, they're good bonuses but they aren't necessary. Also, PSN will improve over time.

Meh.. I dont really care, PSN will get better though.  I dont even play games online too often, and I even pay for XBL for my 360 lol.

dude your arguement is pretty pathetic indeed. i think your lucky to have so many people online considering the number of systems out there. playing pgr3 for the first few months after 360s launch was even worse as most of the time i used to just log off because i couldnt find a game to play with people my own level.

You are forgetting quality of service, which is a MAJOR factor. If you are online and can't find a match for 15 mins that takes away your playing time.

I do find it odd sometimes that I only see 50 or 60 people online TOTAL.  I just assume there are servers that don't register on my system or something.  I hope that's the reason, anyway.

I don't know, I can find matches EASILY. Always on Resistance, and always on Motorstorm. No problems for me.

I see. When it's bad news for the Xbox360, the PS3 fanboys don't have enough games to keep them occupied.

When it's bashing season for the PS3, the Xbox360 fanboys are just taking a break from their great games to join in the discussion.

Isnt that the point of online multiplayer, to play online? :?

If you have to search around for a game for several minutes, rather than specifying the game type you're interested in, or choosing quick match, and being able to be connected with a match in under a minute, you'll be finding a larger amount of your time consumed in finding a match, rather than in actually playing the match.

One of the best things about LIVE was how quickly I could find a match in Halo 2 - it went from match to match in less than a minute - simply because of how packed the online is for every game.

 I nominate this for post of the month!  Seriously, I'm starting to wonder if Sony has interns posting bogus "My 360 did the 3 rings of death today" threads on System Wars.  PSN IS a Ghost Town, and PS3 still is seriously lacking in software quality and quantity.  Pretend that Resistance is amazing all you want.
